Tribble in Store is a level 70 Federation mission in Star Trek Fleet Command in which Captain Otanu has you smuggle a crate of tribbles onto a Klingon planet to disrupt a new outpost. It is picked up in Shannon and needs warp 1,700 to start and to complete. You pay 20B Parsteel for the tribbles and fight one Klingon ship. The reward is 1 Shield of Pericles, 1,760,000 Raw Σ-Parsteel and 3,900 Federation Credits.
Tribble in Store objectives
Otanu has intel that the Klingons are building an armory and forward outpost on Kro’vaz II, close to Federation borders. Otanu wants to slow them down without a strike under a Federation banner, so the plan is to let tribbles do the damage. There is no choice split:
- Visit the merchant in Shannon.
- Pay 20B Parsteel for the batch of tribbles.
- Enter Klingon territory in Kro’vaz.
- Defeat the Klingon ship in Kro’vaz (enemy strength ~18,215,062,522).
- Beam the tribbles onto Kro’vaz II.
- Return Captain Otanu to their ship in Shannon.
The merchant, Yesec, has been housing and feeding the tribbles and wants paying before handing them over. At Kro’vaz a Klingon ship hails you, and Otanu has you disable it before it can spoil the operation. More Klingon ships are closing in as you beam the tribbles inside the outpost’s boundaries, so you get Otanu back to Federation space fast.

The pickup is Shannon, where you meet the merchant and also drop Otanu off at the end. The only other system is Kro’vaz, inside Klingon territory. Warp 1,700 is needed to start and to complete. The recommended level is 70.

Of the four, Tribble in Store gives the largest raw Σ resource payout.
Tips
Plan for the Parsteel cost. The 20B regular Parsteel payment is the second objective, and nothing moves until Yesec is paid.
The Klingon ship is weak for this level. At about 18.2 billion strength it is a tiny fraction of the roughly 3.4 trillion fight in Pay It Forward, another level 70 mission, so the warp 1,700 requirement is the real gate here.
Reputation is lopsided. You gain 244 million Federation Points but lose about 615 million Klingon Points, more than double the gain, so check faction reputation if you work with the Klingon faction.
