The lucrative latinum systems in Star Trek Fleet Command are Yoria-3, Torra Sedra and Zed Alpha: locked neutral systems at warp 22 that each hold one rich raw latinum node of 470,000 with a mining rate of 95, about three times the rate of a normal low-level latinum node. You need a Latinum Transwarp Cell to enter: Uncommon for Yoria-3 (level 25), Rare for Torra Sedra (level 28) and Epic for Zed Alpha (level 31). For open systems, raw latinum is mined in 34 systems from level 22, and concentrated latinum in 25 systems from level 36; both lists are below.

Latinum is the closest thing the game has to a minable currency. You mine Raw Latinum (and, later, Concentrated Latinum), refine it into Latinum, and spend it in the store on exocomps, speedups and resources. This page covers all three forms: where to mine, what to crew, and how the refining loop works.

Why you need latinum

Refined latinum feeds the Latinum Store, and the store’s headline item is exocomps, the combat and mining consumables that late-game play leans on heavily. It also buys resources and speedups on rotating deals. Unlike parsteel or tritanium, latinum never stops being useful: there is no level where you out-grow it, which is why dedicated latinum miners run around the clock on most servers.

The three forms of latinum

  • Raw Latinum is mined from raw latinum nodes across neutral and faction space. It is useless until refined.
  • Concentrated Latinum is a richer version mined only in systems of level 36 and up, with the D’Vor Feesha, after the Concentrated Latinum Scanners research. It refines into much more latinum per run.
  • Latinum is the refined, spendable form. The refinery converts raw latinum from level 16, on a 22-hour cooldown, so bank a refine every single day. The Prime Latinum Refining research improves the yield.

Lucrative latinum systems

These are the richest raw latinum nodes in the game. Yoria-3, Torra Sedra and Zed Alpha are locked systems with a single node each, and a Latinum Transwarp Cell gets you in. The cells come from the special Borg refinery, and which cell you can get depends on the tier of your Vi’dar: tiers 1 to 3 for the Uncommon cell, 4 to 6 for the Rare cell that opens Torra Sedra, and 7 to 9 for the Epic cell. Suliban (level 35, warp 40) needs no cell and holds three nodes at mining rates of 95, 108 and 125, the fastest raw latinum nodes anywhere, though each holds 200,000.

System System level Warp Nodes Node size Mining rate Entry
Yoria-3 25 22 1 470,000 95 1 Uncommon Latinum Transwarp Cell
Torra Sedra 28 22 1 470,000 95 1 Rare Latinum Transwarp Cell
Zed Alpha 31 22 1 470,000 95 1 Epic Latinum Transwarp Cell
Suliban 35 40 3 200,000 95 / 108 / 125 Open

For comparison, a standard raw latinum system has eight nodes: seven at the base rate and one rich node at a higher rate. At level 22 to 27 that is 32 and 64 on 82,000 nodes, rising to 54 and 95 on 470,000 nodes in the level 38 to 46 systems.

Raw latinum locations

Raw latinum is mined in 34 systems between level 22 and 46, split evenly between Klingon, Romulan and Federation space (ten each), plus four neutral systems. Maclyyn (level 22, warp 16) is the lowest, and in the standard systems node sizes step up with level: 82,000 up to level 27, 184,000 at 28 to 30, 250,000 at 31, 350,000 at 34, and 470,000 from level 38. The Mining rate column shows the base rate and the rich node’s rate.

Concentrated latinum locations

Concentrated latinum is mined in 25 systems from level 36 to 55, six each in Federation, Klingon and Romulan space and seven neutral. Iapedes, Quv Qeb and Sirius (level 36, warp 38) are the first, with 60,000 nodes. Nodes reach 705,600 in Delta Sector, Sigma Sector and Ander (level 51 to 53) and 987,840 in Tarna (level 55, warp 320). Like raw latinum, each system has eight nodes, one of them at double rate.

How to get latinum

  • Mining raw latinum is the main source. Park a D’Vor on a node and let its mining bonus do the work.
  • Mining concentrated latinum in the level 36 and higher systems with the D’Vor Feesha.
  • The lucrative systems above, if you can spare the Latinum Transwarp Cells.
  • Events: Latinum Rush and similar events pay refined latinum directly. Preload a full miner before the event starts and cash in when it goes live.
  • Hitting loaded miners: latinum cannot be raided from a station, but a loaded latinum miner destroyed in space drops its unprotected cargo. That cuts both ways, so crew for protection.

Best latinum mining crews

Raw latinum flips the usual mining logic. The D’Vor’s own ability is so large that extra mining-speed officers barely register, so you crew for cargo protection instead and leave the ship out longer: Joaquin as captain raises protected cargo, with T’Pring (Hidden Stash) and One of Eleven on the bridge adding more.

For concentrated latinum the speed officer matters again. Arrock as captain gives a large boost to concentrated latinum mining speed, and Ferengi Conglomerate officers such as Quark, Rom, Fess or Cath fill the bridge for the synergy bonus. For current rankings past these staples, see the officer tier list.

Best ships to mine latinum

Do not send a regular survey ship after latinum. Ordinary miners pull raw latinum painfully slowly; the Ferengi ships are built for it. The Ferengi D’Vor is the dedicated raw latinum miner, introduced in the Rules of Acquisition arc. Its mining bonus for raw latinum grows with level, and the D’Vor Latinum Mining Improvement research pushes it further.

The D’Vor Feesha is the Ops 35+ upgrade and carries the mining bonus for concentrated latinum. Its refinery loop feeds itself: the Concentrated Latinum Refinery pays out refined latinum plus Feesha parts, and the payouts scale with the ship’s tier.

Latinum FAQ

Where is the Torra Sedra system?
Torra Sedra is a level 28 neutral system at warp 22 with one raw latinum node of 470,000 at mining rate 95. Entry costs one Rare Latinum Transwarp Cell, which the Borg refinery offers while you own a tier 4 to 6 Vi’dar.

What are the lucrative latinum systems?
Yoria-3 (Uncommon cell), Torra Sedra (Rare cell) and Zed Alpha (Epic cell), each with one 470,000 node at mining rate 95. Suliban (level 35) is the open alternative with the fastest nodes in the game.

Where do I mine concentrated latinum?
In 25 systems from level 36, starting with Iapedes, Quv Qeb and Sirius at warp 38. You need the D’Vor Feesha and the Concentrated Latinum Scanners research.

Can other players steal my latinum?
Not from your station. Raids only take parsteel, tritanium and dilithium. Your risk window is the D’Vor sitting on a node: cargo above its protection value drops if the ship is destroyed, which is why the protection crew above is standard.

How often can I refine latinum?
Once every 22 hours, from refinery level 16. Treat it like a daily chore: a missed refine is latinum you never get back. Bulk Refine, added in May 2026, lets you run several exchanges through one confirmation, so banking a backlog is quicker.

What is a rich latinum node?
One of the eight nodes in a standard latinum system mines at a higher rate than the other seven, roughly double at lower levels. If you find it free, keep a miner on it.

What should I spend latinum on?
Exocomps first for most players, then whatever your bottleneck is in the store’s rotating deals. Spending it on common resources you could mine is usually a waste.
