Daggers Of Chaos is a level 70 Romulan investigation mission in Star Trek Fleet Command. General Patheeka asks you to look into a string of ritual-style deaths among Romulan leaders. You pick it up in Renesa, and warp 1,700 covers both the start and the finish. The trail runs through six systems, one assassin fight and a round of hostile kills. The rewards are a U.S.S. Discovery Scale Replica, 1,224,000 Raw Σ-Tritanium and 3,900 Romulan Credits. It is a long trip, but the Raw Σ-Tritanium makes it worthwhile.
Daggers Of Chaos objectives
The case opens with the death of Buruhk, the Caralhetes senator, who was found with thirteen carved symbols. From there the objectives run in a fixed order, with no choice split:
- Investigate the death of the Caralhetes senator in Caralhetes.
- Investigate the death of the Xaxan senator in Xaxan.
- Find the eyewitness of Commander Bevuk’s assassination in Qudorin.
- Pursue the assassin to Ja’lana.
- Defeat the assassin in Ja’lana (enemy strength ~18,655,441,716).
- Confront the cultists in Nisa.
- Defeat 10 hostiles of level 70 or higher.
- Report to Patheeka in Renesa.
The eyewitness to Bevuk’s killing is destroyed before she can finish her story, and you chase her attacker, an unmarked Romulan ship, to Ja’lana. Its logs point to the Cult Eternus in Nisa. The cultists refuse to talk and surround your ship, which is where the 10 kills come from. Back in Renesa, Patheeka declares every death an accident, denies there was ever an eyewitness, and warns you off the case.
Where and what warp
The pickup is in Renesa, and the mission needs warp 1,700 to start and to complete. You visit Caralhetes, Xaxan, Qudorin, Ja’lana and Nisa before returning to Renesa, so expect more travel than a typical mission at this level. The recommended level is 70.

Tips
The assassin in Ja’lana is listed at about 18.7 billion strength, which is light for this level. The heavier work is the 10 kills of level 70 or higher hostiles after Nisa. Any hostile at that level counts, and the hostile guide helps you pick easy targets.
Time is the main cost. Six systems at warp 1,700 make a long loop, and both fights come late in it, so send a ship with the range for the whole route that can still handle a level 70 grind at the end.
The payout suits Romulan-aligned players. The Raw Σ-Tritanium is the bulk of the value (see Tritanium), and the replica is a model of the U.S.S. Discovery.
