Dirty Work is a level 70 mission in Star Trek Fleet Command in which the Orion Syndicate pays you to test-fight the newest Federation, Romulan and Klingon ships. You pick it up in Bess, and it needs warp 1,700 to start and to complete. The whole mission is three trips and three kill counts, with no donation and no choice split. The reward is 1 Kurlan Naiskos, 1,071,000 Raw Σ-Parsteel and 600 Trait XP.
Dirty Work objectives
Serrosi of the Orion Syndicate has been watching your work. With the war heating up, each of the three great powers has set aside systems as testing grounds for new ships, and the Syndicate wants combat profiles of all of them. The six objectives alternate between travel and combat:
- Enter Federation territory in Shannon.
- Defeat 5 hostiles of level 70 or higher.
- Enter Romulan territory in Renesa.
- Defeat 5 hostiles of level 70 or higher.
- Enter Klingon territory in Kro’vaz.
- Defeat 5 hostiles of level 70 or higher.
In Shannon, Lieutenant Commander Poole of the USS Kuiper orders you out of the system, and Maia confirms these are the ships Serrosi described. After each group is disabled she logs the data and suggests moving on before reinforcements arrive. The Romulans in Renesa have not spotted you, so Maia recommends striking first. In Kro’vaz the Klingons come to you instead, eager for a fight worth singing about. Once the last kill is logged, Serrosi promises funds and materials and says your paths will cross again.
Where and what warp
Bess is the pickup, and the mission then takes you through Shannon, Renesa and Kro’vaz in that order. All of it runs at warp 1,700, for the start as well as the finish. The recommended level is 70.
Dirty Work rewards
| Reward | Amount |
|---|---|
| Kurlan Naiskos | 1 |
| Raw Σ-Parsteel | 1,071,000 |
| Trait XP | 600 |
Level 70 missions in the same systems
Each of the three testing grounds is also the pickup point for a level 70 faction mission at the same warp 1,700. Two of them follow the same pattern as Dirty Work, a single named item plus a large amount of a raw Σ resource:
| Mission | Faction | Pickup | Main rewards |
|---|---|---|---|
| Dirty Work | Neutral | Bess | 1 Kurlan Naiskos, 1,071,000 Raw Σ-Parsteel, 600 Trait XP |
| Tribble in Store | Federation | Shannon | 1 Shield of Pericles, 1,760,000 Raw Σ-Parsteel, 3,900 Federation Credits |
| Daggers Of Chaos | Romulan | Renesa | 1 U.S.S. Discovery Scale Replica, 1,224,000 Raw Σ-Tritanium, 3,900 Romulan Credits |
| Chasing Death | Klingon | Kro’vaz | 1,798,000 Raw Σ-Parsteel, 1 1 Hour Σ-Repair Speed Up, 3,900 Klingon Credits |
Since you pass through all three systems anyway, it is easy to pick up whichever faction mission suits your alignment on the way.
Tips
This is 15 kills spread across three systems, so bring a ship that grinds level 70 hostiles comfortably. No enemy strength is listed for any of the three counts. The Federation group comes first, then the Romulans, then the Klingons, and you cannot change the order.
Repair between systems. Each travel step gives you a natural break, and the Klingon ships in Kro’vaz are the last and most eager to fight. Pages for Federation hostiles and Klingon hostiles give a sense of what those factions field.
The 1.07 million Raw Σ-Parsteel is the bulk of the payout; the Σ resources page covers where it goes. The reward list carries no faction point lines at all. More about Serrosi’s employers is on the Orion Syndicate page, and the mission guide has the rest of the level 70 missions.
