Suliban Runner

The Suliban Runner is a Transogen Battleship hostile that roams from level 46 to level 70. You find it across Transogen and neighboring systems, where it drops Transogen Containment at the 4-star through 6-star tiers. Because it only ever spawns as a Battleship, the fast answer is to bring an Interceptor, match its warp, and grind it for Containment and ship XP.

How to beat the Suliban Runner

The Suliban Runner shows up as one hull type, a Battleship, so there is nothing to swap between levels. Interceptors beat Battleships, so bring a well-tiered Interceptor and you hold the type advantage at every level from 46 to 70.

For crew, put a captain that boosts weapon damage against hostiles in the captain’s chair, then fill the other seats with officers that add damage or mitigation. The strongest specific names shift with the meta, so check the current officer tier list for who is good right now rather than locking into an old crew.

Watch its ship abilities. At the start of combat the Suliban Runner triggers Transogen Charged, which raises its Apex Barrier by 1000, and Red Mist!, which increases its Isolytic Damage by 625%. In plain terms it opens the fight with an extra protective barrier and hits far harder with isolytic damage than its base attack suggests, so bring strong hull and mitigation and aim to finish the fight quickly rather than trading blows for many rounds.

Before you fly out, match its warp and check that your Interceptor’s total strength clears the level you are targeting. The stat table below shows how fast its hull and shields grow, so a ship that farms a level 46 Runner will not survive a level 62 one. Repair between fights and keep your shields topped up, since its opening isolytic hit lands hardest in the first round.

Where to find the Suliban Runner

The Runner splits into a lower band and a higher band by warp. The lower band, levels 46 to 56, clusters in Beta Nerra, Reeka, Unas-Tol, and W’jeff at warp 110 to 355, which most mid-game players can reach. The higher band, levels 60 to 70, spreads into Karoun, Montathu, Laochra, Curadh, Danan Xoa, Cliann, and Sepenthe, where the warp requirement jumps to between 700 and 1700. Plan your warp range around the level you actually want to farm.

Level Warp Systems
46 110 Beta Nerra
50 190 Reeka, Unas-Tol
56 355 W’jeff
60 700 Karoun, Montathu
62 1200 Laochra
66 1300 Curadh
68 1500 Danan Xoa
70 1700 Cliann, Sepenthe

Rewards and what it drops

Every level of the Suliban Runner drops Transogen Containment, the resource tied to the Transogen arc, with the star tier rising as the level rises. That makes it a steady source of Containment for players working through Transogen content. Ship XP also climbs steeply, so each higher-level kill both refills your Containment and pushes your ship closer to its next tier, as long as it can take the fight.

Drop What it is
Transogen Containment (4-star, levels 46-50) Transogen arc material; drops 380-530 per kill
Transogen Containment (5-star, levels 56-60) Same material at the 5-star tier; 380-530 per kill
Transogen Containment (6-star, levels 62-70) Highest tier dropped here; 300-660 per kill

Suliban Runner stats

Stats vary little by variant here (it is Battleship only) but climb steeply with level, so a level 70 Runner is far tougher than a level 46 one.

Suliban Runner firing pattern

It carries two weapon groups. The Energy guns fire every round for steady pressure, while the Kinetic guns fire every other round but hit harder per shot, so time your mitigation or repairs for the kinetic volleys.

Weapon type Count Damage per shot Fires Crit
Energy 2 321,257-413,045 Every round 10% (2x)
Kinetic 2 688,408-1,147,347 Every other round 10% (2x)

The Suliban in Star Trek

The Suliban are a spacefaring species from Star Trek: Enterprise. Most were ordinary refugees scattered without a homeworld, but a faction called the Suliban Cabal, led by Silik, was armed and genetically enhanced by a shadowy benefactor from the future during the Temporal Cold War. Their augmentations let them scale sheer walls, squeeze through tight gaps, and shift the pigment of their skin for camouflage. In STFC the Suliban surface through the Transogen storyline, which builds on that genetic-engineering theme rather than the show’s time-travel plot.

Is the Suliban Runner worth grinding?

It earns its place if you need Transogen Containment or want mid to late ship XP. Pick the highest level your Interceptor can clear cleanly, since the drops and XP both scale up with level. Match the warp, bring the Interceptor that counters its Battleship hull, and keep your hull and mitigation high to ride out its opening isolytic burst.
