Suliban Assailant

The Suliban Assailant is a neutral Interceptor-class hostile that roams between levels 35 and 45. The lower-level ships sit in Axanar, and the tougher ones show up in Ash-tor and Ril Korvas. Killing them drops Parsteel, Tritanium, and 4-star Broken Interceptor Parts. Since it only ever spawns as an Interceptor, an Explorer-class ship is what you want in the fight.

How to beat the Suliban Assailant

The Suliban Assailant has one hull type: Interceptor. In the combat triangle, Explorers beat Interceptors, so bring an Explorer and you get the class bonus on every hit. There is nothing to swap between levels here, since the hull never changes as you climb from 35 to 45. Match your warp range first (45 for the Axanar spawns, 80 for the deeper systems), then pick the biggest Explorer you can crew well.

Avoid bringing your own Interceptor here. An Interceptor against an Interceptor is a mirror match with no class bonus, and you give up the free damage an Explorer gets for nothing. A Survey ship is worse still, since Survey hulls barely fight. Stick with the Explorer and the math stays in your favor.

For the crew, the principle is simple: a captain that boosts weapon damage against hostiles, backed by officers that add damage or mitigation. Early on, the cadet crew still works as a cheap, reliable option: Cadet Kirk in the captain seat with Cadet Spock and Cadet Uhura beside him. At this level range you likely have stronger officers available, so treat the cadets as a floor, not the goal. For current top picks, check the Officer Tier List. Crews shift with the meta, so the best combination this month may not be the best next month. The Suliban Assailant is a neutral target, so grinding it costs you no faction reputation and you can farm it freely without worrying about your standing with any of the major powers.

Where to find the Suliban Assailant

The Suliban Assailant clusters in two bands. The level 35 to 37 ships hold in Axanar at warp 45, which makes them easy to reach for a mid-game player who has pushed a little way out from the starting systems. The level 42 to 45 ships jump out to Ash-tor and Ril Korvas at warp 80, so you need the warp range research to get there and a stronger ship to handle the steep stat climb. If you are still working up to warp 80, farm the Axanar band first and come back for the higher levels once your range and ship power catch up.

Level Warp Systems
35–37 45 Axanar
42–45 80 Ash-tor, Ril Korvas

Rewards and what it drops

The Suliban Assailant is a resource target. The lower-level ships in Axanar hand over raw building materials, while the higher-level ships in Ash-tor and Ril Korvas trade those for Interceptor repair parts. Ship XP also climbs steeply with level, from about 703 at level 35 to 2,125 at level 45, so the deeper spawns double as decent XP grinding for a ship you want to level.

Drop What it is
Parsteel The basic building material for station and ship upgrades. Drops from the level 35 to 37 ships.
Tritanium A core refined resource used across most upgrades and research. Drops from the level 35 to 37 ships.
4★ Broken Interceptor Parts Repair parts used to build and upgrade 4-star Interceptor ships. Drops from the level 42 to 45 ships.

Suliban Assailant stats

Stats vary by hull variant and climb steeply with level, so the jump from the Axanar spawns to the Ash-tor spawns is large.

Level Total strength Hull HP Shield HP Attack Defense Ship XP
35 538,186 72,000 72,000 241,186 225,000 703
42 5,572,744 2,949,027 2,949,027 1,685,057 938,660 1,750
45 8,056,750 4,190,430 4,190,430 2,570,705 1,295,615 2,125

Suliban Assailant firing pattern

The Suliban Assailant fires two weapon groups. Its Energy weapon shoots every round for steady damage, while its pair of Kinetic weapons fire every other round but hit far harder when they land. Time your repairs and mitigation around the Kinetic volley, since that is where most of your hull damage comes from.

Weapon type Count Damage per shot Fires Crit
Energy 1 34,800–42,533 Every round 10% (1.5x)
Kinetic 2 83,520–102,080 Every other round 10% (1.5x)

The Suliban in Star Trek

The Suliban are a canon species introduced in Star Trek: Enterprise, set roughly a century before the original series. Most Suliban are ordinary people, but a faction called the Suliban Cabal became the show’s recurring threat. The Cabal received genetic enhancements from a mysterious benefactor in the distant future, giving members abilities such as flattening their bodies, seeing in the dark, and clinging to surfaces. Those upgrades came at a price: the Cabal served that unseen sponsor in the Temporal Cold War, carrying out sabotage and attacks across the galaxy. In the game, the Suliban Assailant reflects that reputation as a fast, aggressive raider.

Is the Suliban Assailant worth grinding?

It is a solid mid-game farm. The Axanar spawns give easy Parsteel and Tritanium for a player still building out a station, and the deeper ships in Ash-tor and Ril Korvas turn into a source of 4-star Broken Interceptor Parts plus real ship XP. Match your warp range to the band you want, bring an Explorer to counter the Interceptor hull, and it is a clean, repeatable grind.
