Ashen Skies is a short Star Trek Fleet Command story mission in which you take Kelia and Sovren to the Suliban system to pay their respects to their ancestors. It opens at warp 1 and needs warp 40 to complete, and the game lists a recommended level of 1. There is a single objective, a visit to Brennis with Kelia, and no fight. The reward is a mix of Romulan faction rewards, one 3★ Rare Refined Ore and an Energy Manifold. It is a quick trip if your ship already has the range.

Ashen Skies objectives

There is one objective and no choice split:

  • Visit Brennis with Kelia. Location: Suliban.

Brennis is in the Suliban system. Getting there with Kelia completes the mission, with no hostile to fight, nothing to donate and no return-to-station step.

Where and what warp

Ashen Skies becomes available at warp 1 and no pickup system is named. Completing it needs warp 40, which is the range required to reach the Suliban system.

The recommended level is 1. Since there is no combat, warp 40 is the only real requirement.

Ashen Skies rewards

Reward Amount
3★ Rare Refined Ore 1
Romulan Credits 120
Romulan Points 8,000
Federation Points -5,376
Klingon Points -3,584
Energy Manifold 1

Finishing the mission raises your Romulan standing and lowers your Federation and Klingon standing slightly. Ashen Skies does not unlock a follow-up mission.

Other missions with Kelia and Sovren

Kelia and Sovren appear in several Suliban Nomad missions for the Romulans. Ashen Skies itself follows Return on Investment. Current game data for three of the others:

Mission Pickup and warp Story Rewards
A Culture of Relics Unroth, warp 26 Retrieve ancient Suliban artifacts from a Vulcan archaeologist 16 Livis shards, 1 Energy Manifold
For the Greater Good Galorndon Core, warp 24 to start and 32 to complete Help the Suliban Nomads open a dialogue with the Suliban Cabal 250 Romulan Credits, 101,000 Dilithium, 12,000 Romulan Points
Enemy of the Nomads Vendor, warp 32 Find the Cabalist behind the assassination of the Nomad leadership Parsteel and speed ups, or Tritanium and repair speed ups, plus 350 Romulan Credits and 42,000 Romulan Points

Ashen Skies needs the most warp of these, but it is also the simplest: no fight, no choice and nothing to pay.

What the Energy Manifold is for

Distant Memories is a mission that asks you to gather 4 Energy Manifolds from missions in Sirius, Axanar, Nelvana, Unroth, Jiwu’puH or Quv Qeb, and it pays 3,000,000 Parsteel. Several Romulan and Suliban missions hand out an Energy Manifold as part of their reward.

Tips

Use any ship with warp 40 range. There is nothing to fight, so a survey ship or a spare hull is enough.

Check your faction reputation if you are close to a threshold. The losses here are small, at 5,376 Federation Points and 3,584 Klingon Points.
