Ascension is a one-step station mission in Star Trek Fleet Command: upgrade Operations to level 51. It runs at warp 1 from start to finish, since nothing happens away from your station, and it pays 1,125,000,000 Dilithium plus 200 5★ Uncommon Survey Parts. Finishing it unlocks the next mission in the chain. For anyone crossing Operations 51, it is one of the largest Dilithium payouts attached to a single objective.

Ascension objectives

There is one objective and no choice split:

  • Upgrade Operations to Level 51. Location: your station.

The story line reads “Continue to expand your Station’s capabilities,” and that is the whole mission. There is no travel, no enemy to fight and no donation to hand over. The work is the Operations 51 building upgrade, and the mission completes with it.

Where and what warp

Warp is 1 to start and 1 to complete, so any ship can be docked the whole time. The game lists a recommended level of 1, which tells you very little here. The objective is Operations 51, so the number that matters is your Operations level, not your ship.

For context, the USS Franklin-A Part 11 mission ends at Operations 50, one level below where Ascension asks you to go.

Ascension rewards

Reward Amount
Dilithium 1,125,000,000
5★ Uncommon Survey Parts 200

Completing Ascension also unlocks the next mission in the chain.

Ascension compared with other Operations missions

Several late-game missions follow the same one-objective pattern of raising Operations by a level. Here is how Ascension lines up against two of them, using the current game data.

Mission Recommended level Objective Rewards
Ascension 1 Operations to 51 1,125,000,000 Dilithium, 200 5★ Uncommon Survey Parts
Earning Trust 52 Operations to 53 5 1B Parsteel Token, 20,000,000 Dilithium, 2,500 Ship XP
Onwards and Upwards 55 Operations to 55 300 15 Minute Repair Speed Up, 101,250,000 Tritanium

Measured by Dilithium alone, Ascension is far ahead. Its 1,125,000,000 is more than fifty times the 20,000,000 that Earning Trust pays, and Onwards and Upwards pays no Dilithium at all. Earning Trust leans on Parsteel tokens instead, and Onwards and Upwards leans on Tritanium and repair speed ups.

Tips

Plan your Dilithium spending around this mission. A payout of over a billion lands in one go when Operations reaches 51, so it is worth knowing in advance what you want to put it toward rather than letting it sit.

The 200 5★ Uncommon Survey Parts are the other half of the reward. As the name says, they are survey parts, so how much they are worth to you depends on whether you have a survey hull to spend them on. If you do not, the Dilithium is the part of this mission that matters.

Higher up, the Operations missions in the same style are Earning Trust at Operations 53 and Onwards and Upwards at Operations 55. Every other mission, sorted by level, is on the mission guide.
