A Galaxy at War Mission Chain Guide, All 15 Parts

A Galaxy at War is a fifteen-part mission chain in which you try to keep the peace between the Klingons and the Romulans, then stand trial and pick a side. Every part is tuned for level 34, it starts with Roj and Worf in Redmond, and the furthest trip is warp 33. Part 7 splits the story into a Klingon War path and a Romulan Diplomacy path for Parts 8 to 15, each with its own shards: Gorkon and Gowron on one side, Decius, Sela and Liviana Charvanek on the other. The shard and Parsteel payouts make it worth finishing.

Roj and Worf want you carrying a message of peace into Klingon space, which means buying food from a gagh farmer in Morska. Whether you pay her changes both the cost and the reward.

The rations have to reach a starving Klingon community in Eeli.

The same errand moves to Romulan space. All three steps happen in Tandorian and there is no combat.

A Romulan colony in Aesir is under siege, and a Tal Shiar agent waits for you back in Tandorian.

Set a course for Aesir.
Defeat 10 hostiles of level 34 or higher.
Deliver the supplies, in Aesir.
Return to Tandorian.
Defeat the Tal Shiar agent, in Tandorian (enemy strength ~902,683).
Report back to the community representative, in Tandorian.

Roj’s colony has been destroyed, and the trail leads to Gowron, with a named fight in Januu and a ten-kill objective in Lixar, a level 35 system.

Confronting Gowron lands you on trial, and Chancellor Gorkon is your way in.

The verdict comes with a 3M Tritanium fine, so have it banked. After paying, you pick a side, and that choice decides which version of Parts 8 to 15 you play.

Klingon War path: Protect the Klingon borders

Bring weapons to the front-line troops, in Carraya.
Install the ground-to-air weaponry, in Carraya.
Help repair a strategic base by donating 15M Parsteel.
Defeat 15 hostiles of level 34 or higher.
Report back to Martok, in H’Atoria.

Romulan Diplomacy path: Get proof that Sela engineered the Battle of Kaisu

Set a course for Kaisu.
Defeat 15 hostiles of level 32 or higher in Kaisu.
Investigate the wreckage, in Kaisu.
Expend 600,000 Dilithium to decrypt the blackbox.
Return to your station.

Both versions are two-ship fights, the diplomacy one against Sela herself.

Klingon War path: Stop an insurgence of Romulans

Set a course for Phelan.

Donate 3M Tritanium to help your Klingon comrades repair their ships.

Both paths return to Beta Penthe and fight the same spy before you reach Gorkon.

This part holds the biggest shard payout on either path.

Klingon War path: Defend the Chancellor from the Klingon Extremists

Defeat the Klingon Extremist, in Beta Penthe (enemy strength ~910,378).
Detonate 600,000 Dilithium to create a diversion.
Defeat 10 hostiles of level 33 or higher in Beta Penthe.

Warp to complete: 1. The fighting stays in Beta Penthe, where Part 12 left you. Rewards: 5 Gorkon shards, 400 Klingon Recruit Token, 13,147,000 Parsteel, 387,000 Dilithium.

Romulan Diplomacy path: Host the peace talks

Set a course for Adelphi.
Defeat 15 hostiles of level 32 or higher.
Welcome Rihala, in Adelphi.

The Adelphi peace talks go wrong on both paths, and each version ends with a fight against Gowron.

The finale is the same combat-free trip on both paths. Only the rewards differ.

Tips for completing A Galaxy at War

Check your warp range first. Parts 6 and 12 need warp 33 and the Klingon War Part 11 needs 32, so a ship limited to the low twenties will stall midway.

Several parts cost resources instead of paying them. Part 7 charges a flat 3M Tritanium fine you cannot avoid, and Part 1 offers a 15M Parsteel payment you can. Declining is cheaper and still pays 3,857,000 Parsteel and a Peace Shield. After the split, the Klingon War path asks for 15M Parsteel in Part 9, 3M Tritanium in Part 10, 15M Parsteel in Part 11 and 600,000 Dilithium in Part 13. The Romulan Diplomacy path spends no Parsteel but takes 600,000 Dilithium twice, in Parts 9 and 14.

Combat runs through most of the chain. Kill objectives ask for hostiles of level 32 to 34, and the named ships sit between roughly 902,000 and 938,000 strength. Lixar in Part 5 is a level 35 system, the highest the chain visits. Parts 3, 6, 7 and 15, plus Part 8 on the diplomacy side, have nothing to shoot, so run them while your combat ship repairs.

Pick your Part 7 side by the officers you want. The Romulan Diplomacy path pays Martok, Decius, Sela and Liviana Charvanek shards. The Klingon War path pays 2 Gowron and 5 Gorkon shards, plus 1,000 3★ Interceptor Parts.

Are the A Galaxy at War rewards worth it?

Yes, if you are around level 34. Either path pays shards for several officers, tens of millions of Parsteel and plenty of Dilithium and speed ups. The price is warp range into the low 30s, many fights near 900,000 strength, and heavy donations, with the Klingon War path’s 30M Parsteel the largest. Among the chains in the mission guide at this level, it is one of the better ones to clear.
