Duality Arc

The Duality Arc is a Star Trek Fleet Command storyline built entirely from multi-part chains: 11 of them, 80 mission rows in all, centred on Worf, Sela and the Romulan-Klingon hybrids caught between their two empires. Recommended levels run from 10 to 45, and warp to complete climbs from 1 in the earliest chain to 120 in the last. The arc pays shards for 12 officers, including Honorguard Worf, Sela, Martok, Gowron and Tomalak, plus some of the largest Parsteel, Tritanium and Dilithium payouts of any mission line.

How the Duality Arc works

Every mission here belongs to a chain, and finishing one part opens the next. The chains suit different stages of the game, so run them by level. Loyalties comes first at level 10, a tryout for the Orion Syndicate that never needs more than warp 8. Past Origins and Safe Haven follow at level 25, then Vendetta at 26, Amalgam at 31 and Duality at 33. A Galaxy at War and Liberation are both level 34, and most of their parts need warp 20 to 33. Machinations sits alone at level 45 with a huge jump to warp 110 and 120, so it waits until your ships have that range.

Prophetic and Refraction show level 1 in the table, which means the game gives no level recommendation. Refraction needs warp 15 to 18 and puts you against Tal Shiar ships near 75,000 strength, a good fit next to the level 25 chains. Prophetic needs up to warp 33 and its named enemies reach about 900,000 strength, so run it alongside the level 34 chains.

Several chains split on a choice. A Galaxy at War branches at Part 7 into a Klingon War path and a Romulan Diplomacy path for Parts 8 to 15, and Liberation branches into a Federation or a Klingon route. Where a row covers both paths, it lists what either can pay.

Duality Arc rewards worth chasing

Honorguard Worf shards come from five parts: Parts 1 and 5 of Refraction and Parts 3, 6 and 10 of Duality. Sela shards come from Parts 1, 7 and 10 of Liberation and from Part 10 of A Galaxy at War. That chain is the richest for officers: it pays Martok in Parts 1 and 7, Gowron in Parts 7 and 15, and on the split paths Decius, Gorkon and Liviana Charvanek.

Prophetic pays Lursa and B’Etor shards twice each, along with stacks of Romulan and Klingon Recruit Tokens. Safe Haven pays Ba’el shards at both ends, Machinations pays 2 Tomalak shards in Parts 1 and 5, and Loyalties Part 5 pays a Ghrush shard.

For resources, Machinations is in a class of its own: Part 5 lists 506.1 million Parsteel, Part 4 pays 28 million Tritanium and Part 3 pays 8.3 million Dilithium. Liberation Part 2 pays 17.9 million Parsteel and 600 3★ Interceptor Parts. Amalgam pays 500 Amalgam Parts across three of its parts, and Past Origins pays Raw Isogen in every part.
