Haven’s Where the Heart Is

Haven’s Where the Heart Is is a four-part mission chain built around Vash, an Independent who turns up at your Station and wants to reach Haven. You learn who the intruder is, follow Vash across several systems, guard your Iconian Hub, and finally decide whether Vash may pass through it. All four parts are recommended for level 61, the chain starts at your Station, and the longest trip is warp 60 in Part 2. Rewards include Refined Isogenite, 6★ ship parts, Nadion, Ultra Recruit Tokens and Uncommon Progenitor Alloy. Plan ahead for the 690M Dilithium payment in Part 4.

  • Return home in case Vash attacks.
  • Defeat 7 hostiles of Level 1 or higher.
  • Defeat 3 hostiles of Level 1 or higher.

Will Vash finally make it to Haven? You tow Vash’s ship home, travel to Bajor and dock at Deep Space Nine, then pay to void a contract. Then the mission asks whether you will let Vash transit through your Iconian Hub and go to Haven.

  • Tow Vash’s ship to your Station.
  • Travel to the Bajor system.
  • Dock at Deep Space Nine, in Bajor.
  • Pay 690M Dilithium to void the contract.
  • Decide whether Vash may transit through your Iconian Hub to Haven.

Warp to complete: 25.

  • Take Vash to your Iconian Hub.

Rewards: 1,100 Trait XP, 400 Ultra Recruit Token, 1 2 Hr Peace Shield, 1,000 Uncommon Progenitor Alloy.

Both answers end the chain with the same rewards, so choose whichever ending you want to see.

Tips for completing Haven’s Where the Heart Is

Start saving Dilithium early. Part 4 asks for 690M Dilithium to void the contract at Deep Space Nine, and the chain will not finish until you pay it.

Part 2 is the only long trip, at warp 60, and it strings together five system stops across Dis, Ophiuchi, Hilltara, Lankal and Rakan with a Tritanium mining step in the middle. A ship that can mine and still reach warp 60 saves you a swap partway through. Part 4 needs warp 25 for the run to Bajor.

Combat is light. The only listed fight with a strength figure is the Part 1 Station defense at roughly 2.1 billion, so bring a strong ship for that one. The ten hostile kills in Part 3 accept targets of Level 1 or higher, which means any hostile you can beat quickly counts.

This chain is part of the same level 61 Haven storyline as Haven, where you build the Iconian Hub, One Way Street, where you chase Yonzi over the Klingon border, and Maehem, Minefields, and a Motherlode, which follows the missing U.S.S. Kelcie Mae.

Are the Haven’s Where the Heart Is rewards worth it?

Mostly yes, if you can afford the Dilithium. The chain pays 5,000 Refined Isogenite, 79,000 6★ ship parts split between explorers and interceptors, 400 Ultra Recruit Tokens, 1,000 Uncommon Progenitor Alloy and a large stack of speed ups, and most of it comes from low-risk objectives. The 690M Dilithium bill in Part 4 is the real price, so run it when your stockpile can absorb that. The STFC mission guide covers the other chains at level 61.
