Time Flies… And Space Mosquitos! is a two-part mission chain with the crew of the Cerritos. A trip to the fun planet Kookiidoo goes wrong when the ship gets stuck in a strange nebula and picks up a swarm of space mosquitos, and the second part asks whether the crew can escape in time, with a choice between eating a blue or a red Time Fly. Both parts are recommended for level 26 and need warp 22 to complete. Part 1 pays 500 each of Federation, Klingon and Romulan Recruit Tokens, and Part 2 pays 1M Tritanium Tokens with either speed-ups or peace shields depending on your choice. It is a light, story-first chain.

Time Flies… And Space Mosquitos! Part 2
Will the Cerritos crew have time to escape? After one more fight with a trapped vessel, you decide which Time Fly to eat. Both paths end with the same four steps in Sorenle; the red fly adds two extra steps in Alhazar first and changes the rewards.
- Defeat another trapped vessel in Alhazar (enemy strength ~44,329).
- Eat a blue Time Fly or a red Time Fly (choice).
Eat a Blue Time Fly
- Warn the Captain about the nebula, in Sorenle.
- Take the warp core offline, in Sorenle.
- Send out a long distance scan to the nebula, from Sorenle.
- Send Starfleet Rutherford’s cosmic bug net schematics, from Sorenle.
Rewards: 4 1 Day Speed Up and 7 1M Tritanium Token.
Eat a red Time Fly

- Eat a blue fly, in Alhazar.

Rewards: 2 1 Day Peace Shield and 7 1M Tritanium Token after the long distance scan, and the same again after the schematics, for 4 1 Day Peace Shield and 14 1M Tritanium Token in total.
Warp to complete: 22 on either path.
Tips for completing Time Flies… And Space Mosquitos!
There are only two fights. The trapped vessel in Part 1 is the harder one at about 73,000 strength; the one that opens Part 2 is about 44,000. Nothing in the chain asks for donations or hostile kills.
The Part 2 choice is the one decision that matters. The red fly costs two extra steps in Alhazar but doubles the Tritanium Tokens to 14 and gives 4 1 Day Peace Shield. The blue fly is quicker and swaps the shields for 4 1 Day Speed Up. If you want Tritanium, take the red fly; if you would rather have the speed-ups, take the blue one.
Part 1 stays in Alhazar the whole time, and Part 2 moves to Sorenle for its last four steps, so plan your trip around those two systems.
Are the Time Flies… And Space Mosquitos! rewards worth it?
Yes, because it costs so little. Two fights under 74,000 strength return 1,500 faction Recruit Tokens and, on the red path, 14 1M Tritanium Token and 4 1 Day Peace Shield. The story features the USS Cerritos crew, including Rutherford and Tendi, though no officer shards are on offer.
