Lower Decks Arc

The Lower Decks arc is the Star Trek Fleet Command storyline built around the crew of the USS Cerritos, with Brad Boimler, Beckett Mariner, Sam Rutherford and D’Vana Tendi at its center. It has 60 missions in 11 chains, recommended from level 10 to 51, with warp to complete running from 1 all the way to 205. Along with shards for the four Lower Decks officers, it pays shards for TOS, Discovery and Next Generation officers, and its level 50 and 51 chains carry by far the largest resource payouts in the arc.

How the Lower Decks arc works

Every mission in the arc belongs to a chain. God Complex is the starting point at level 10 and never needs more than warp 7: a Cerritos geological survey goes wrong and ends with you pulling the crew back from a Celestial.

Four chains sit at level 25 and need no more than warp 22: Hustle Culture, which starts at Quark’s party, Scapegoats, which turns a Risa shore leave into a smuggling job, What Could Go Wrong, built around Tendi and Rutherford’s experimental translocator, and In Times of Trouble, a colony defense in the Hann system. Uncivil War has no recommended level, but every part needs warp 27 and its enemies run from about 527,000 to 741,000 strength, so treat it as a later chain.

An Unwelcome Surprise at level 34 is the longest chain, ten parts about AGIMUS with warp up to 45. Swings and Roundabouts at level 35 opens with a transmission from the USS Discovery, and Unearthed at level 40 needs warp 61 to 70. The last two chains are endgame content: I Fix, Therefore I Am at level 50 needs warp 185 on Parts 1 to 4 and asks for payments of 150M Tritanium and 1B Parsteel, and Innominate at level 51 needs warp 105 to 205.

Lower Decks arc rewards worth chasing

Brad Boimler shards come from God Complex Part 1, Uncivil War Part 2, An Unwelcome Surprise Part 1 and I Fix, Therefore I Am Part 5. Beckett Mariner shards come from Uncivil War Part 4, Scapegoats Part 3, What Could Go Wrong Part 5 and An Unwelcome Surprise Part 10. God Complex and Scapegoats each pay one Sam Rutherford shard and one D’Vana Tendi shard.

Other crews are well covered. In Times of Trouble pays 5 TOS Spock shards in Part 1 and 2 TOS James T. Kirk shards in Part 2. Innominate adds two more Kirk shards and two TOS Nyota Uhura shards. Swings and Roundabouts pays two shards each for Michael Burnham and Paul Stamets, plus 200 Discovery Recruit Tokens. Unearthed pays Jean-Luc Picard shards in Parts 1 and 5, and Hustle Culture pays Quark shards in Parts 1 and 5.

Uncivil War pays 9,999 Irvinite and Unearthed pays 750 Axionic Chips. At the top end, Innominate pays 138M Dilithium, 360M Tritanium, ten 1B Parsteel Tokens and 5★ ship parts, and I Fix, Therefore I Am pays 12,000 Latinum and 33M Dilithium in Part 5 alone.
