Patrol Duty is a late-game Klingon story mission in Star Trek Fleet Command: make sure the Festival of Honor is not interrupted. It opens at warp 1 and needs warp 95 to complete, taking you from Kronos to Somraw and into Romulan space at Delmas before you return to Kronos. The game lists a recommended level of 1, but the Augur you must defeat in Delmas is about 5,867,534 strength, and that fight plus warp 95 are the real bar. The reward is 1,800 Latinum, 130 1M Parsteel Tokens and a large Klingon reputation gain.
Patrol Duty objectives
There are six objectives and no choice split:
- Report to Khol on Kronos. Location: Kronos.
- Patrol Klingon space. Location: Somraw.
- Defeat the Nausicaan Brutes. Location: Somraw.
- Track Khol to Romulan space. Location: Delmas.
- Defeat the Augur. Location: Delmas. Enemy strength is roughly 5,867,534.
- Return to Kronos. Location: Kronos.
The mission starts with a report to Khol on Kronos, then a patrol through Somraw, where Nausicaan Brutes need to be dealt with. No strength is listed for the Brutes.
From Somraw you track Khol into Romulan space at Delmas. The Augur waits there at about 5,867,534 strength, and it is the main fight of the mission. After it falls, you head back to Kronos to finish.
Where and what warp
Patrol Duty becomes available at warp 1 and no pickup system is named. Completing it takes warp 95, which covers Kronos, Somraw and Delmas.
The recommended level is 1. In practice, warp 95 range and a ship that can beat a target close to 5.9 million strength are what the mission needs.

The Romulan Points loss is larger than the Klingon Points gain. Patrol Duty does not unlock a follow-up. It follows Festival of Honor.
Patrol Duty and other Kronos missions
Patrol Duty begins and ends in Kronos. Two Klingon faction missions that are picked up there sit at a much lower warp:

Patrol Duty asks for far more warp and a far harder fight, and its reputation swing is more than four times larger in both directions.
Tips
Check your faction reputation first. A loss of 645,120 Romulan Points is big enough to matter if you are near a Romulan threshold.
Repair after Somraw. The Brutes come before the Augur, and the Augur is the fight that needs your ship at full strength.
The 1,800 Latinum is the standout reward. The 130 1M Parsteel Tokens add a large Parsteel stock on top.
