Patience is a Klingon story mission in Star Trek Fleet Command with a single task: defeat 27 hostiles of level 45 or higher to move suspicion away from Chang. The game lists a recommended level of 1 and warp 1 to start and finish, but level 45 hostiles are the real requirement. The payout is 13 8 Hour Speed Ups, 600 Klingon Credits and 538,000 Klingon Points, with Romulan and Federation reputation losses. It is a grind mission worth running for the speed ups alone.

Patience objectives

There is one objective and no choice split:

  • Defeat 27 hostiles of Level 45 or higher.

No system is named for the kills, so any hostile that meets the level floor counts. The story frames the fighting as cover for Chang: the more trouble you cause, the less attention falls on him. Nothing is donated and there is no boss ship to beat, so the mission is finished the moment the 27th qualifying kill lands.

Where and what warp

Patience starts at warp 1 and completes at warp 1, and it has no pickup system. That warp figure only describes the mission itself. The level 45 hostiles you need live in deeper space, so the practical warp is whatever your ship needs to reach systems with hostiles at that level.

The level 45 floor on the targets is what decides whether you can clear it, and the missions on either side of it in the chain run out to warp 120.

Patience rewards

Reward Amount
8 Hour Speed Up 13
Klingon Credits 600
Klingon Points 538,000
Romulan Points -791,936
Federation Points -296,976

The negative Romulan and Federation figures are reputation losses with those factions; the faction reputation guide covers what that means. Completing Patience unlocks the next mission in the chain.

Patience and the missions around it

Patience sits in the middle of a run of Klingon missions that all list level 1 and complete at warp 120, apart from this one.

Mission Warp to complete Rewards
Compensation 120 40 4★ Rare Refined Ore
True Duty 120 64,800,000 Parsteel, 4 3 Hour Repair Speed Ups, 600 Klingon Credits, 448,000 Klingon Points
Patience 1 13 8 Hour Speed Ups, 600 Klingon Credits, 538,000 Klingon Points
True Colors 120 160 4★ Uncommon Battleship Parts, 160 4★ Uncommon Explorer Parts, 600 Klingon Credits, 538,000 Klingon Points
Ferocity 120 190 4★ Uncommon Interceptor Parts, 50 1M Tritanium Tokens, 600 Klingon Credits, 538,000 Klingon Points

True Duty has you earn Mo’Kai’s respect, Patience covers for Chang, and True Colors takes you to the Conclave to push the High Council toward an attack on Starfleet. Patience is the one step in this stretch with a listed warp of 1.

Tips

Pick a system where the hostiles sit at level 45 or a little above, and farm there. Anything higher still counts, but tougher targets mean longer fights and more repair time, so staying close to the floor is usually the quicker way through 27 kills.

Twenty-seven fights is a real time cost. A combat ship with fast repairs will get through it far sooner than a mining or survey hull, and the 13 8 Hour Speed Ups you earn can go straight back into the next upgrade queue.

The Romulan and Federation losses are large. If you are trying to hold reputation with either faction, look at those numbers before you commit to the Klingon side of this storyline.
