On the Horizon is a level 61 Federation mission in Star Trek Fleet Command. You pick it up in Solas Astra, and it needs warp 900 both to start and to complete, with every located objective in Keylali. A scientist is racing to stop a gravimetric anomaly from crushing a planet, and the only combat is a grind of 12 hostiles. The payout is 512,000 Raw Σ-Tritanium, 213,000 6★ Raw Gas and 3,600 Federation Credits, plus a large swing in faction points.
On the Horizon objectives
There are four objectives and no choice split, so every player follows the same route:
- Follow the scientist. Location: Keylali.
- Investigate the spacial anomaly. Location: Keylali.
- Collect data on the anomaly. Location: Keylali.
- Defeat 12 hostiles of level 60 or higher.
When you arrive, the scientist explains that the planet has been destabilizing and will collapse within hours. Your science officer picks up an odd radiation signature around the anomaly, and the readings show atoms that never travelled at light speed. The data you collect points to space itself folding in on itself. The fix the scientist comes up with is to blow up the crystal-lined asteroids in the system and start a chain reaction that resets the disturbance. In the objective list, that step is the hostile grind, and once it is done the anomaly disappears from sensors and the planet stabilizes.
Where and what warp
The mission is picked up in Solas Astra. It asks for warp 900 to start and warp 900 to complete, so a ship that can reach the pickup can finish the whole thing. The first three objectives all take place in Keylali, and the hostile objective has no system attached in the mission listing. The recommended level is 61.

Solas Astra hands out one other Federation mission at this level, Lost Histories, where you join Picard on an archaeological survey. The two share a warp requirement and the same Federation Credits and faction points, but they play very differently.

Tips
This is one of the lighter level 61 Federation missions because there is no named boss. The three Keylali steps are travel and scanning, so the only thing that tests your ship is the 12 kills of level 60 or higher. A combat ship that already farms hostiles at that level will clear it quickly.
Check your standing before you run it. The mission adds 104 million Federation Points but removes 228,384,000 Klingon Points and 50,752,000 Romulan Points, so the Klingon loss is more than twice the Federation gain. Those numbers move your faction reputation, which matters if you are also working Klingon missions at this level. The Federation page covers what that faction offers in return.
