Last Contact is a three-part mission chain that follows the trail of the T’Lota, a Vulcan research vessel that broke apart after its captain, V’Lon, sent out a string of damaged warning logs. You recover beacons and datapads across several systems, piece the logs together and finally reach the place where the ship met its end. The parts are listed at levels 61, 1 and 62, and each one starts from its own system at warp 900 or 1,000. Rewards include 5,100,000,000 Tritanium, 10,800 Federation Credits, 322,000,000 Federation Points, 1 Picard’s Ammonite Fossil and 3,000 Culver Particle. It is a quiet investigation chain with one scripted fight.

Each part has its own pickup: Part 1 in Keylali, Part 2 in Vucinich and Part 3 in Triga-5. Parts 1 and 2 need warp 900 to start, and Part 3 needs warp 1,000. Each part unlocks the next.
Last Contact Part 1
Discover the fate of the T’Lota. An emergency beacon of Vulcan design carries a broken message from Captain V’Lon warning ships away from a system, and more logs are scattered on nearby planets. Scavengers are picking over the wreckage in Esteris, and you choose how to deal with them.

Last Contact Part 2
Continue to investigate the fate of the T’Lota. The next beacon, in Shaz, comes from the ship’s acting captain after V’Lon’s death and mentions the survivors regrouping at Lekin 196. Interference on the planet has to be bypassed before you can read everything.

The game lists a recommended level of 1 for this part, but it sits between two level 61 and 62 parts and still needs warp 900, so treat the warp range as the real requirement.

Track down the cause of the T’Lota’s destruction. A navigation datapad lets you retrace the ship’s final warp path to Qorfit, where you find the last captain’s log and come under attack.

Tips for completing Last Contact
The Part 1 choice is a straight trade. Distracting the scavengers costs 690M Dilithium, while eliminating them means defeating 8 hostiles of level 60 or higher. Both pay the same, so pick the donation if you have Dilithium to spare and the hostile grind if you would rather keep it.
Part 2 has a fixed cost of 46,000 6★ Raw Crystal, so stock it before you travel to Shaz. The hostiles you need to defeat there have no listed count, so keep fighting in Shaz until the logs are complete.
The only scripted fight is in Part 3, listed at about 2.6 billion strength. After that you just move away from the planet to Stellastica to finish.
