Liberation is a ten-part Star Trek Fleet Command mission chain in which you work with Sela to break a hybrid named Roj out of a Romulan prison and then keep him alive. Every part has a recommended level of 34. It opens at your own station, and from Part 3 you choose to bring the Klingons or the Enterprise crew, which sets the route for Parts 4 to 10. Across the chain you collect four rounds of Sela shards, 3★ ship parts, refined materials and a lot of Parsteel, Tritanium and Dilithium. It is a long, well-paid run for a level 34 player who can fight hostiles near 900,000 strength.

Tips for completing Liberation
Liberation follows the Duality chain, and when you finish Part 10 the story carries on in Machinations. Each part unlocks the next, so there is no skipping ahead.
Pick your Part 3 side with warp in mind. The Klingon route tops out at warp 33 in Parts 8 to 10 because of Beta Penthe and Ok’Vak, while the Federation route stays at 26 there. The Federation route asks for warp 30 in Part 4 against the Klingon 26, so the difference evens out a little, but a ship that only reaches the high 20s will have an easier time on the Federation side.
The two routes differ in how much fighting they ask for. The Klingon Part 6 swaps the stealth approach for two fights near 910,000 strength and pays more than double the Explorer parts and Dilithium for it. Elsewhere the gaps are small: the Federation route pays a little more in Part 4 and the Klingon route a little more in Part 9. The Sela shards land on both routes in Parts 1, 7 and 10.
Stock resources before you start. Part 2 can cost 2M Tritanium if you pay Jones, Part 4 costs 500,000 Dilithium on either route, and Part 5 takes an 8M Parsteel donation. Parts 2 and 5 each pay back more than 17M Parsteel, so the net cost is small, but the donation has to be in your bank when you reach it.
Several parts ask for 10 or 15 hostile kills at level 32 or 34 and above, and each of those objectives names the system where the kills must happen. Bring a ship that clears level 34 targets quickly and keep repair speed-ups on hand for the back-to-back fights in Kavka. More chains are listed in the mission guide.
Are the Liberation rewards worth it?
Yes, for anyone around level 34. Four rounds of Sela shards come on either route, along with 600 3★ Interceptor Parts, 270 3★ Battleship Parts, a pile of 3★ refined ore and crystal, 600 Premium Recruit Tokens and more than 37M Parsteel. The costs are the 8M Parsteel and 500,000 Dilithium donations plus a steady run of 900,000-strength fights, which is fair for what comes back.
