Imperial Edict

Imperial Edict is a level 70 Klingon mission in Star Trek Fleet Command in which you stand in for Captain KatraQ and report on House Sov, the exiled Klingon house building colonies in the Margins. You pick it up in Crossroads, and warp 1,550 is enough for the whole mission. It has a single fight against Aeonian colony ships. The rewards are 8,000 Σ-Tritanium, 53,000 7★ Broken Interceptor Parts, 3,900 Klingon Credits and 1 Gravimetric Data, a modest payout that matters mostly for Klingon reputation.

Imperial Edict objectives

KatraQ wants nothing to do with the exiles and hands you his assignment: meet Captain Gorthak in Otralitea and send back a detailed report. The objectives run straight through with no choice split:

  • Meet with Captain Gorthak in Otralitea.
  • Follow Captain Gorthak in Otralitea.
  • Defeat the colonists in Otralitea (enemy strength ~4,314,618,503,236).
  • Proceed to Igniotera.
  • Return to your station.
  • Meet with the House Sov elders in Uyama.

Gorthak resents being sent an Independent, but he shows you how House Sov takes territory. In Otralitea the last Aeonian colony ships refuse to leave, and one of them is yours to destroy. Igniotera is his example of the other method, a mixed colony talked into flying the House Sov banner without a shot fired. After you report to KatraQ from your station, Gorthak summons you to Uyama. There Elders Girsch and Drubh offer protection in the Margins in return for your help winning back the Empire’s favour, and Maia accepts.

Where and what warp

The mission starts in Crossroads. Warp 1,550 covers both the start and completion, and the systems you visit are Otralitea, Igniotera and Uyama, with a stop at your station in between. The recommended level is 70.

Other level 70 Klingon missions

Imperial Edict shares its reputation numbers with two other House Sov missions at level 70, both picked up in Otralitea. Chasing Death uses much smaller reputation numbers and needs more warp:

Mission Pickup Warp Main rewards
Imperial Edict Crossroads 1,550 8,000 Σ-Tritanium, 53,000 7★ Broken Interceptor Parts, 3,900 Klingon Credits
Chronicles of Sov Otralitea 1,550 3,100 Σ-Dilithium, 500 Klingon Recruit Token, 3,900 Klingon Credits

Tips

The colony ship in Otralitea is listed at about 4.3 trillion strength, and it is the only combat in the mission. A ship that handles level 70 hostiles can take it without special preparation. Everything after that fight is travel and dialogue.

Leave time for the station stop. Return to your station is its own objective, so the mission will not move on to Uyama until you dock there, even if your ship is already out in the Margins.

The real value is the reputation. You gain 14.6 billion Klingon Points but lose 17.1 billion Romulan Points and 8 billion Federation Points, so it pulls you firmly toward the Klingon side. Read faction reputation before a long run of House Sov missions. The Σ-Tritanium is a small top-up (see Tritanium). House Sov also turns up in the Margins chain, and the mission guide has other missions at this level.
