The Supernova of Romulus is an early Spock story mission in Star Trek Fleet Command. You work with Spock to uncover what his mysterious counterpart is up to, starting in Bellas and ending with a small ambush fight in Nilkino. It needs warp 8 to complete and splits halfway, when you decide whether to search a Klingon or a Romulanisch research outpost. Both paths pay 2★ refined Ressourcen and ship parts, and the mission unlocks the next part of the Spock story.
The Supernova of Romulus objectives
The mission opens with two shared objectives:
- Reunite Spock with the Enterprise in Bellas. Location: Bellas.
- Investigate the damage on Vaset. Location: Bellas.
- Where should we search for Spock? This is the choice split.
Klingon research outpost path
- Untersuchen Sie die Klingonisch research outpost. Location: Utoqa.
- Hurry to the Romulan outpost on Ciloi. Location: Nilkino.
- Destroy the ambushers. Location: Nilkino. Enemy strength is roughly 3,012.
Rewards for this path: 12 2★ Ungewöhnlich Refined Crystal and 8 2★ Interceptor Parts.
Romulan research outpost path
- Investigate the Romulan research outpost. Location: Nilkino.
- Destroy the ambushers. Location: Nilkino. Enemy strength is roughly 3,012.
Rewards for this path: 12 2★ Uncommon Refined Erze and 8 2★ Battleship Parts.
The Klingon path has one extra stop. You check Utoqa first, then rush to Ciloi in Nilkino, where the same ambush waits. The Romulan path goes straight to Nilkino. Either way the ambushers at around 3,000 strength are the only fight.
Wo und welcher Warp
There is no pickup system, and the mission can be accepted from warp 1. Completing it needs warp 8. All the named systems, Bellas, Utoqa and Nilkino, sit within that range. The recommended level is 1, which suits a mission this early in the game.

The fights in this storyline stay close together in strength, so a ship that handled the Jellyfish in The Kelvin Paradox is ready for these ambushers. Jellyfish Smack, a little further on, is where the Spock shards come in.
Tips
Pick your path by the ship you are building. The Klingon outpost route gives interceptor parts and refined crystal, while the Romulan outpost route gives battleship parts and refined ore. The fight is identical, so the choice is purely about rewards.
The Romulan path is shorter by one stop. If you just want the mission done, it saves a trip to Utoqa.
