Anomaly Samples are the resource at the end of the Voyager loop in Star Trek Fleet Command. Common and Rare Anomaly Samples are mined in exactly four token systems in Delta Quadrant space: FSEP-505 (level 36), FSEP-3819 (level 41), FSEP-247 (level 52) and FSEP-001 (level 60). Each one costs 1 Delta Quadrant Warp Cell to enter and holds seven Common nodes and one Rare node. Species 8472 Bio-ships inside the same four systems also drop both sample types when destroyed, and you exchange the samples in the Voyager Raffinerie.

If you searched for Galactic Anomalies: those are a different feature in Territory space, with their own rewards, and they have nothing to do with Anomaly Samples or the FSEP systems. Same word, different features.

Anomaly sample systems

All four systems are Neutral, deep-space token systems. They are sorted easiest first. The warp figure is each system’s own warp, and the node sizes grow fast with level: a Common node in FSEP-001 holds 360K against 5K in FSEP-505.

System Ebene Warp Fraktion Nodes Notes
FSEP-505 36 30 Neutral 7 Common + 1 Rare Entry: 1 Delta Quadrant Warp Cell; Common node size 5K; Rare node size 25K
FSEP-3819 41 225 Neutral 7 Common + 1 Rare Entry: 1 Delta Quadrant Warp Cell; Common node size 27K; Rare node size 110K
FSEP-247 52 470 Neutral 7 Common + 1 Rare Entry: 1 Delta Quadrant Warp Cell; Common node size 155K; Rare node size 700K
FSEP-001 60 900 Neutral 7 Common + 1 Rare Entry: 1 Delta Quadrant Warp Cell; Common node size 360K; Rare node size 1.1M

The Rare node in each system is the one to watch. It is a single node, it mines slower than the Common nodes, and it holds more (25K in FSEP-505, 1.1M in FSEP-001). If an exchange you want asks for Rare samples, park on that node first.

Why you need anomaly samples

Anomaly Samples exist to exchange bundles in the Voyager refinery. The anomaly sample exchanges, on 5-day and 7-day cooldowns, pay out U.S.S. Voyager ship parts plus 4★ and 5★ parts for the ships that carry this stretch of the game: the Amalgam, the U.S.S. Cerritos, the Franklin-A und die D’Vor Feesha. If any of those ships is your current bottleneck, this loop is where the parts come from.

The cooldowns are the real throttle. You do not need to mine samples around the clock; you need enough banked that the exchange is never sitting ready while you are empty.

The Voyager loop, in order

Anomaly samples sit at the end of a chain, and each link feeds the Voyager refinery:

  1. Hunt Hirogen hostiles in Delta Quadrant space for Hirogen Relics. Hirogen Hunters start at level 25, and the Hirogen Hunter Elite und Hirogen Transport Freighter take over from level 35. Relics are exchanged for bundles in the Voyager refinery.
  2. Voyager refinery bundles pay Deuterium Canisters, which power the U.S.S. Voyager’s active abilities. Its Advanced Sensors ability reveals a hostile hiding from your sensors in the current system.
  3. Zerstören Sie Species 8472 Bio-ships for Exotic Biotoxins, another Voyager refinery currency. They spawn from level 35 to 60.
  4. Spend a Delta Quadrant Warp Cell to enter an FSEP token system, then mine the Common and Rare Anomaly Sample nodes or kill the Species 8472 Bio-ships there for samples.
  5. Feed the samples into the Voyager refinery exchanges for ship parts and rewards.

Voyager Travel Tokens are a separate item, used to travel to deeper systems in the Delta Quadrant. The FSEP mining systems themselves ask for the Delta Quadrant Warp Cell.

Hostiles that drop anomaly samples

You do not have to mine at all. The Species 8472 Bio-ships in the four FSEP systems drop Common and Rare Anomaly Samples directly, and the stacks are large: 715 to 823 Common samples per kill in FSEP-505, rising to 51,429 to 59,144 in FSEP-001. The Silver Blood U.S.S. Voyager in the same systems pays Hirogen Relics and Exotic Biotoxins instead. The table also lists the Hirogen Hunters in FSEP-168 and FSEP-40840, which pay relics only.

Best ship for anomaly samples

Die U.S.S. Voyager anchors the whole loop, and the Anomaly Sample item itself tells you to use it for best effect. It is an Episch Grade 4 Explorer that builds at Shipyard level 34. Its ship ability, Feels Like Home, raises its base damage against hostiles with the Delta Quadrant tag by 50,000% at ship level 1, rising to 220,000% at level 60, which makes it the fastest way to clear Hirogen and Species 8472 targets. The Voyager Astrometric Sensor refit also raises its base Max Cargo by 300%. A bigger hold means fewer trips, and every trip into an FSEP system costs a Delta Quadrant Warp Cell.

Bring the Voyager or a strong survey ship for sample mining, and the Voyager for the Hirogen and Species 8472 stages, since most of the loop’s time is spent shooting rather than mining.

Best crews to mine anomaly samples

The right crew depends on one question: on your server, are miners sitting over their protected cargo fair game? (Players call this an OPC hit, for over protected cargo. Check your server rules of engagement.)

  • Wenn OPC-Hits erlaubt sind, setze auf vollen Schutz. Joaquin as captain raises Protected Cargo by 50%, T'Pring adds 50% to 300% more with Hidden Stash, and One of Eleven adds 30% to 50% with Bodyguard.
  • If miners are safe on your server, crew for output instead. Ten of Eleven raises the ship’s Mining Speed by 80% to 160%, and a max-cargo setup means fewer trips through the warp-cell gate.

Anomaly samples FAQ

Where are the galactic anomaly systems?
Galactic Anomalies are a separate Territory feature and are not tied to the FSEP systems on this page. The only systems with Anomaly Sample mines are FSEP-505, FSEP-3819, FSEP-247 and FSEP-001.

How do I get into the FSEP systems?
Each one costs 1 Delta Quadrant Warp Cell to enter. The item exists only to open these locked Delta Quadrant systems with Anomaly Sample deposits.

What is the difference between Common and Rare Anomaly Samples?
Rarity gates the exchanges: the richer bundles ask for Rare samples. Each FSEP system has seven Common nodes and one Rare node, and Species 8472 Bio-ships drop both. Check the exchange tabs before a trip so you farm the type you actually need.

When should I start the loop?
Hirogen Hunters appear from level 25, Species 8472 Bio-ships from level 35, and the first sample system, FSEP-505, is level 36. The Voyager builds at Shipyard level 34, so most players start the full loop in the mid 30s.
