Parsteel is the most common resource in Star Trek Fleet Command and the one you will spend the most of: nearly every station building pulls from your parsteel stock, and plenty of research does too. You get it from mining, your station generators, hostile loot, raiding, and events. Parsteel has no grades and no refining; every node gives the same resource.
Why you need parsteel
Parsteel is the building resource. Tritanium tiers up your ships and Dilithium funds research, but every Operations level, drydock, defense platform, and warehouse asks for parsteel first, and the costs climb from thousands into the billions. Keep your Parsteel Warehouse leveled: a big Betrieb upgrade fails if the cost is higher than your cap, even when you have earned enough.
How to get parsteel
- Mining. The main active source. Parsteel nodes are the most gemeinsame in the galaxy; systems and crews below.
- Station generators. Your Parsteel Generators produce it passively. Upgrade them and collect often, because sitting resources invite raids.
- Daily goals and events. Mining and station events pay parsteel directly at every level.
- Hostile loot. Destroying hostiles pays out resources along with the rest of their loot.
- Raiding other stations. Parsteel is one of the three resources a raid can steal, and the target’s vault protects less of it than you would hope. At higher ops a good raid outpays hours of mining. Just expect retaliation.
- Missionen and the Battle Pass. Steady but smaller amounts. Useful early, background noise later.
Parsteel Bergbau Standorte
Parsteel is everywhere, so this is a curated list of systems worth parking in rather than every node in the galaxy, verified July 2026. Node size scales with system level: move up as your warp range allows.
Early game (Ops 1–15)
Almost every low-level system near your starting position has parsteel. Convenience beats optimization here; these are reliable picks:
| System | System level | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Bodex | 2 | Warp 8 or less from the starting regions |
| Benzi | 4 | Warp 8 or less from the starting regions |
| Aoro | 5 | Warp 8 or less from the starting regions |
| Alonso | 6 | Warp 8 or less from the starting regions |
| Bernin | 8 | Warp 8 or less from the starting regions |
| Alannah | 9 | Warp 8 or less from the starting regions |
| Aum | 9 | Warp 8 or less from the starting regions |
| Bulut | 9 | Warp 8 or less from the starting regions |
Mid game (Ops 16–25)
The Kaus cluster and its neighbors carry parsteel and tritanium together, so one trip feeds two stockpiles. Faction systems need reputation but have bigger nodes and less competition.
| System | System level | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Kaus Australis | 16 | Parsteel + tritanium, neutral Raum |
| Kaus Borealis | 17 | Parsteel + tritanium, neutral space |
| Kaus Media | 17 | Parsteel + tritanium, neutral space |
| Aciben | 17 | Parsteel + tritanium, neutral space |
| Wezen | 18 | Parsteel + tritanium, neutral space |
| Helvetios | 18 | Parsteel + tritanium, neutral space |
| Zeta Polis | 19 | Parsteel + tritanium, neutral space |
| BeK | 21 | Neutral space |
| Bazamex | 24 | Federation space, reputation required |
| Mapic | 25 | Federation space, reputation required |
| Godui | 23 | Klingon space, reputation required |
| Laija | 25 | Klingon space, reputation required |
| Nipaj | 24 | Romulan space, reputation required |
| Rooth | 26 | Romulan space, reputation required |
Late game (Ops 30+)
| System | System level | Notes |

Beste Parsteel-Bergbau-Crews
The right crew depends on your server’s rules of engagement: are miners sitting over their protected cargo fair game? (Players call this an OPC hit, for over protected cargo.)
- If OPC hits are allowed: crew full protection. Joaquin as captain with T'Pring und Einer von elf (or Raphael DuPont) keeps the most cargo safe while you sit on a node.
- If miners are safe on your server: crew for speed. Kapitän: Helvia > Parsteel Miner – increases the parsteel mining rate of the ship, or Zehn von elf > +50% mining rate to Parsteel, Tritanium, and Dilithium. Fill the bridge with Surveyors & Miners Offiziere for the synergy bonus.
For current rankings past these staples, see the officer tier list.
Beste Schiffe zum Abbau von Parsteel
Die ECS Fortunate is the dedicated parsteel miner, and its ship ability grows as it levels, so an invested Fortunate holds its own well past its grade. Upgrade its mining laser for speed and its cargo bay for capacity. Later on, your newest survey ship with the biggest hold usually wins, since node size becomes the limit before mining speed does.
Parsteel FAQ
Does parsteel have grades like ore or gas?
No. Unlike Erze, Gasund Kristall, parsteel has no star grades and never touches the refinery.
What is the fastest way to get parsteel at low levels?
Park the ECS Fortunate with Helvia as captain in any parsteel system near your station, and collect from your Parsteel Generators every time you log in.
Can other players steal my parsteel?
Yes, twice over: raids take the unprotected parsteel at your station, and a loaded miner drops its unprotected cargo if destroyed. Spend it, vault it, or crew for protection.
Why am I always short on parsteel?
Operations and drydock costs jump sharply at every level. It is normal for parsteel to be the wall from the mid game on; raiding and events close the gap faster than mining alone.
