The Tables Turn is a combat-heavy Star Trek Fleet Command mission in the Vulcan attack storyline, where a second distress signal turns out to be a trap. It can be picked up at warp 1 but needs warp 90 to complete, and every step takes place in Hannlaw or Rowla. You fight four times, against enemies from roughly 1.95 million to 3.49 million strength. The reward is 500 each of 4★ Common Explorer, Battleship and Interceptor Parts, and finishing it unlocks Angel In Disguise.
The Tables Turn objectives
The story line is “Investigate another distress signal.” There are five objectives and no choice split:
- Investigate the distress signal. Location: Hannlaw.
- Defeat the Vulcans. Location: Hannlaw. Enemy strength is roughly 1,950,820.
- Defeat the Vulcan Battleship. Location: Hannlaw. Enemy strength is roughly 3,491,974.
- Escape the ambush. Location: Rowla.
- Defeat the Vulcan Captain. Location: Rowla. Enemy strength is roughly 3,358,989.
The first half is in Hannlaw. You answer the signal and find Vulcans waiting, then a Vulcan Battleship that is the strongest enemy in the mission at close to 3.5 million. The second half is an escape: you pull back to Rowla, and the last fight there, against the Vulcan Captain, comes in at nearly the same strength as the Battleship.
Wo und welcher Warp
The mission can be picked up at warp 1. Completing it is another matter: warp 90 is required, and every objective sits in Hannlaw or Rowla.
The game Daten lists the recommended level as 1, but that number does not describe the fights. Three of the four enemies are above 1.9 million strength and two are well above 3 million. Judge readiness by the Vulcan Battleship, not by the level shown on the mission.
The Tables Turn rewards

|---|---|
| 4★ Gemeinsame Explorer Teile | 500 |

Completing The Tables Turn also unlocks Angel In Disguise.
How it fits with the missions around it
The Tables Turn follows Reality Sinks In and leads into Angel In Disguise. It has the longest warp and the hardest fights of the three.

| Reality Sinks In | 75 | Bandit, about 2,726,322 (one path only) | 100 4★ Ungewöhnlich Refined Gas and 190 4★ Uncommon Survey Parts, or 58,800,000 Parsteel and 8,820,000 Tritanium, by choice |
| The Tables Turn | 90 | Vulcan Battleship, about 3,491,974 | 500 each of 4★ Common Explorer, Battleship and Interceptor Parts |

Tips
Bring your strongest combat ship and plan for repairs. Four fights in a row, two of them above 3.3 million strength, will wear down a ship that is only just strong enough for the first one.
Check your warp before you accept the challenge. The mission appears at warp 1, but none of the objectives can be reached without a warp 90 ship, and nothing in the mission can be done from closer in.
The ship parts are split evenly across three hull types. If you only fly one hull type, only a third of the reward goes straight into use, so it helps to know which ship you plan to upgrade next.
Angel In Disguise, the next mission, drops back to warp 80 and a single named fight, which makes it a lighter follow-up. The rest of the storyline and every other mission by level are on the Missionsleitfaden.
