Shadow Arena is a Klingon faction mission in Star Trek Fleet Command where you serve as Nalrex’s Champion in a showdown with a Starfleet vessel. It is picked up in Beta Penthe at warp 33 and needs warp 39 to complete, and the duel takes place in Mempa. The game lists a recommended level of 1, but the Federation Interceptor you must disable is about 652,792 strength, so that fight is the real bar. The reward is 774,000 Tritanium, 150 3★ Interceptor Parts and Klingon Credits and Points, and finishing it unlocks Starscape.
Shadow Arena objectives
There are two objectives and no choice split:
- Transport Nalrex to the location of his death match with Captain Fitzsimons. Location: Mempa.
- Disable the Federation Interceptor. Location: Mempa. Enemy strength is roughly 652,792.
The first step is an escort. You carry Nalrex to Mempa, where his death match with Captain Fitzsimons is set to take place.
As his Champion, you then fight the Federation Interceptor. The objective is to disable it, and that fight at about 652,792 strength is the whole combat side of the mission. The mission ends there, with no return-to-station step.
Where and what warp
Shadow Arena is picked up in Beta Penthe and needs warp 33 to start. Completing it takes warp 39 to reach Mempa.
The recommended level is 1. In practice you need warp 39 range and a ship that can disable a target at around 650,000 strength.

The Romulan Points loss is slightly larger than the Klingon Points gain. Completing the mission also unlocks Starscape.
The Fitzsimons chain
Shadow Arena opens a chain about the treacherous Starfleet Captain Fitzsimons. Starscape sends you hunting for him, and An Illusive Man follows, where you interrogate the Orion Syndicate to find him. Current game data:

Starscape has no fight but needs a 200K Dilithium payment. An Illusive Man then turns back to combat, and after it the chain continues with Under Cover of Night.
Tips
Check your faction reputation before you accept. You lose 45,696 Romulan Points here, and An Illusive Man takes another 56,000.
Start saving Dilithium now. Starscape, the next mission, asks for 200K Dilithium, so the chain is smoother if that is ready when Shadow Arena ends.
The 150 3★ Interceptor Parts are the reward to plan around if you fly an interceptor.
