The Out of the Darkness Khan mission
The research adds the Out of the Darkness mission to the Rogue Faction Store. You join the Augments, Khan and Rima on a run into Klingon space. It is a level 40 mission that needs warp 1 to start and warp 53 to complete. The objectives, in order:
- Meet Khan and Rima in Tera Lara.
- Scout the Klingon system of Katovug.
- Retrieve the D4’s navigation logs in Katovug (enemy strength about 3,358,989).
- Find the deep space research lab in Ty’Gokor.
- Destroy 4 hostiles of level 39 or higher.
- Find the Advanced Cloaking Device in Ty’Gokor.
- Defeat General Dorvah in Ty’Gokor (about 5,649,811).
- Transport Khan and Rima home to Tera Lara.
Rewards: 23,515,000 Parsteel, 3,458,000 Tritanium, 692,000 Dilithium and three 1 Day Speed Ups.
Getaway Pilots II: what Out of the Darkness leads to
Out of the Darkness 1 is the research requirement for Getaway Pilots II, a five-level Outlaw line that adds base warp speed to all ships, listed at +15% at level 1 and +75% at level 5. It is gated by the Engine Technology Lab from level 41, and levels 4 and 5 also need faction reputation:
