Old Wounds is a late Klingon-aligned story mission in Star Trek Fleet Command. You help Chang investigate the destruction of the moon Praxis: meet him on Kronos, search the rubble, trace the responsible ship to Kildare and defeat a raider of about 6.5 million strength. It is picked up in Dohrmas and needs warp 120 to start and complete. The game lists a recommended level of 1, but the raider and the warp set the real bar. The reward includes 4,080,000 Dilithium, 500 4★ Common Explorer Parts and 448,000 Klingon Points, and finishing it unlocks Bloodhound.
Old Wounds objectives
The story line asks you to help Chang investigate the destruction of the moon of Praxis. There are five objectives in a fixed order and no choice split:
- Meet with Chang on Kronos. Location: Kronos.
- Investigate the rubble on Praxis. Location: Kronos.
- Investigate the ship’s origin point. Location: Kildare.
- Defeat the raider. Location: Kildare. Enemy strength is roughly 6,542,068.
- Return to Kronos. Location: Kronos.
The raider in Kildare is the only fight. Everything else is investigation in the Kronos system, with a round trip out to Kildare and back.
Where and what warp
The pickup system is Dohrmas, and the mission needs warp 120 both to start and to complete. The recommended level is listed as 1. With a warp 120 pickup and a raider at over 6.5 million strength, this is late-game content.

Completing Old Wounds also unlocks the next mission, Bloodhound.
This is a Klingon mission, and the Romulan loss is larger than the Klingon gain. Check the faction reputation guide if you rely on Romulan standing.

Old Wounds has the strongest named enemy of the three. Bloodhound asks for its own 4M Dilithium donation, so the 4,080,000 Dilithium from Old Wounds covers it almost exactly.
Hostiles along the route
Current hostile data shows Klingon hostiles in Dohrmas, including Klingon Patrol ships from level 43 to 49 and Klingon Hunters from 44 to 48. Kildare has Federation and Corvallen hostiles between level 40 and 46. None of them are part of the mission.
Tips
Bring your strongest combat ship to Kildare. The raider is the whole difficulty, and at about 6.5 million strength it is tougher than the named enemies in the two missions that follow.
Hold the Dilithium for Bloodhound. The donation there is 4 million, and this mission pays just over that.
