Old Friends is a Star Trek Fleet Command storyline mission in which you search for Toryn by tracking his transponder to Izbrig, then fight off two Bounty Hunters. The game lists a recommended level of 1; it starts at warp 1 and needs warp 100 to finish. The reward is 2,430,000 Dilithium and 160,000 Officer XP, and completing it unlocks Questionable Motives. It is a short, fight-heavy step in the Toryn story.
Old Friends objectives
There are three objectives and no choice split, all in the same system:
- Look for Toryn in Izbrig. Location: Izbrig.
- Defeat the Bounty Hunter. Location: Izbrig (enemy strength ~1,075,836).
- Defeat the second Bounty Hunter. Location: Izbrig (enemy strength ~2,726,322).
Following the transponder brings you to Izbrig, where two Bounty Hunters stand between you and Toryn. The second Bounty Hunter is more than twice as strong as the first, so the mission gets harder as it goes.
Where and what warp
Warp 1 to start and warp 100 to complete, with no pickup system. Izbrig is the only system you need to reach, and there is no return step.
The second Bounty Hunter at about 2.7 million strength and the warp 100 trip are the real bar for this mission.

Old Friends is the only mission in this run that pays Officer XP, and the next two missions need warp 105.
Tips
Repair between the two Bounty Hunters. Both fights are in Izbrig and come back to back, and the second is the harder one at about 2.7 million strength. Going into it damaged from the first is the likeliest way to lose.
Plan for warp 105 after this. Questionable Motives and With Friends Like These both reach one step further, so a ship that only just makes warp 100 will need an upgrade soon.
