IDIQ 1: Quantum Anomalies

IDIQ 1: Quantum Anomalies opens the IDIQ series, and in-game it is listed as Quantum Anomalies Part 1. The anomalies that tore at the Origin Sector have broken out into the wider galaxy, and you set out to chart them with help from the Independent Ahvix. The game lists a recommended level of 61, the mission starts at warp 1 but needs warp 185 to complete, and it crosses five systems from Sintek to Jorda. Rewards include 500 Romulan Recruit Tokens and 700 1 Hour Speed Ups. Expect two fights, one against a Quantum Adjudicator and one against the Guardians.

IDIQ 1: Quantum Anomalies Part 1

The story line is to investigate the galactic anomalies. You look for a vantage point, find that Q’s automated ships have escaped the Origin Sector along with the anomalies, and call in Ahvix for more sensors and firepower.

  • Observe the anomalies, in Sintek.
  • Investigate the galactic south, in Fafniri.
  • Defeat the Quantum Adjudicator, in Archanis (enemy strength ~2,127,123,225).
  • Meet Ahvix in the galactic north, in Teranth.
  • Defeat the Guardians, in Jorda (enemy strength ~2,632,999,787).

Each objective sends you to a different system, so this is a travel-heavy mission. The Quantum Adjudicator in Archanis is listed at about 2.1 billion strength, and the Guardians in Jorda at about 2.6 billion. There is no choice split. Warp to complete: 185.

Rewards: 500 Romulan Recruit Token, 700 1 Hour Speed Up, 26,000 6★ Broken Battleship Parts, 800 Σ-Tritanium.

Finishing this mission opens IDIQ 2: Quantum Anomalies.

The Quantum Anomalies missions compared

All three missions are recommended for level 61, but their warp needs vary a lot. IDIQ 2 needs warp 900.

Mission Warp to complete Fights Rewards
IDIQ 1: Quantum Anomalies 185 Quantum Adjudicator (~2.13 billion), Guardians (~2.63 billion) 500 Romulan Recruit Token, 700 1 Hour Speed Up, 26,000 6★ Broken Battleship Parts, 800 Σ-Tritanium
IDIQ 2: Quantum Anomalies 900 Tesseract (~3.53 billion), 3 hostiles (level 60+) 500 Federation Recruit Token, 800 1 Hour Speed Up, 31,000 6★ Broken Interceptor Parts, 360 Σ-Dilithium
IDIQ 3: Quantum Anomalies 40 Escape the Romulans (~2.63 billion) 500 Klingon Recruit Token, 500 Romulan Recruit Token, 250 Nadion, 3x Cat Spock shards

Tips for completing IDIQ 1: Quantum Anomalies

Warp 185 is a big jump from the IDIC missions, which topped out at warp 53. Make sure the ship you plan to fight with can reach every system on the route before you start.

The two fights are spread out. Repair after the Quantum Adjudicator in Archanis, because the meeting with Ahvix in Teranth is only a story stop and the Guardians in Jorda are the tougher target at roughly 2,632,999,787 strength.

The 700 1 Hour Speed Ups are the most flexible reward here. They are worth saving for long builds or research.

Are the IDIQ 1: Quantum Anomalies rewards worth it?

Yes. Two fights and a long trip pay 700 1 Hour Speed Ups, 500 Romulan Recruit Tokens, 26,000 6★ Broken Battleship Parts and 800 Σ-Tritanium, and the mission starts a series that later pays Cat Spock shards in IDIQ 3. The main cost is travel time. For background on the anomalies, see the Origin Sector arc and the STFC mission guide.
