IDIC 9: Where No Cat Hasn’t Gone Before Part 3

The story line asks you to find Spock and T’Pring. You meet the Enterprise, send Dr McCoy down to talk to Spock, and when that fails Q offers a small push for a price.

  • Meet the Enterprise at Vulcan.
  • Investigate Omicron Lyrae, in Vulcan.
  • Beam down McCoy, in Vulcan.
  • Give Q 30 Dilithium for an assist.
  • Talk some sense into Spock (three-way choice).

Spock has left Starfleet to live with T’Pring. At the final objective you pick one of three approaches. Each one ends the mission with a single step and the same rewards.

Tips for completing IDIC 9: Where No Cat Hasn’t Gone Before

This is the easiest mission of the three. It needs only warp 17, it stays in Vulcan from start to finish, and the only cost is 30 Dilithium for Q’s assist. Any ship can run it.

Pick whichever ending you like at the choice. The mind meld, the wedding and the trip to the Enterprise all pay the same rewards, and each path has only one objective before the mission ends.

After this mission the IDIC series moves on to IDIC 10: The Roads Less Traveled, which raises the warp needed to 53 and brings back heavier fights.

Are the IDIC 9: Where No Cat Hasn’t Gone Before rewards worth it?

Yes, easily. It takes a few minutes, costs 30 Dilithium and pays 53,000 6★ Broken Battleship Parts, 11,000 Latinum, a 1K Σ-Dilithium Token and 300 Luminous Prism. There is no reason to skip it once IDIC 8 is done. For the wider setting and other level 61 missions, see the Origin Sector arc and the STFC mission guide.
