Gambit is a ten-part Star Trek Fleet Command mission chain in which you pick up Captain Sisko, find the USS Defiant, win over the Breen and then fight to retake Deep Space Nine. Every part is recommended for level 34, and the chain starts at Sol. Warp to complete runs from 20 to 40. Headline rewards are Weyoun shards (twice), 2,400 Ultra Recruit Tokens, a Swarm Prime Particle, 150,000 Officer XP, a Relocation Token and faction Recruit Tokens for three factions. It is combat-heavy and costly in Tritanium, and the payout justifies it.

Tips for completing Gambit

Save Tritanium before you start. Part 4 charges 3M Tritanium for the Breen audience and Part 8 asks for another 3M to repair the Defiant, so 6M in total goes into donations. The first appeal’s Tritanium in Part 1 and the 1,856,000 from Part 7 help cover it.

Warp is the main gate. Parts 1, 6 and 10 need warp 40, and Parts 5, 7, 8 and 9 need warp 35, with trips between Bajor, the Gamma Quadrant systems and Sol. A level 34 ship that cannot reach warp 40 will stall on the very first part.

Repair between the back-to-back fights. Parts 5, 8 and 9 each stack three named enemies of roughly 415,000 to 432,000 strength in one system, and Part 9 also asks for 12 hostile kills in Bajor first. Clear your repair queue before those parts, and keep the 3 Hour Repair Speed Ups from the second appeal in Part 1 if you pick it.

Parts 2 and 7 each ask for 12 hostiles of level 34 or higher, which you can grind on any hostiles in range before moving on. The Sixth Host is another level 34 Deep Space Nine chain with Sisko, Jadzia and more Weyoun shards, and every other chain is listed on the mission guide.

Are the Gambit rewards worth it?

Yes. Two batches of Weyoun shards, 2,400 Ultra Recruit Tokens, a Swarm Prime Particle, a Relocation Token and 1,500 faction Recruit Tokens split across Federation, Klingon and Romulan make this one of the better level 34 chains. Add over 30M Parsteel and more than 1.9M Dilithium across the parts. The costs are 6M Tritanium in donations and several warp 35 to 40 trips, which a level 34 commander should plan for.
