Triangulation is a story mission in Star Trek Fleet Command where you need DNA research held by one of the major factions to unlock an alien monolith. It starts at Dhi’Ban and then splits three ways: you can ask the Federation, the Romulans or the Klingonen for help. It needs warp 33 to complete and has no fights. Every path pays 2,500,000 Parsteel and 5,000 Ship XP, plus 25 3★ Seltene refined resources that change with the faction you pick. Finishing it unlocks the next mission in the monolith story.
Triangulation objectives
Every player starts the same way:
- Visit the planet of Dhi’Ban. Location: Dhi'ban.
- Choose which faction to ask for help in unlocking the monolith.
The game frames the choice as a question: one of the factions may have the research and data on all DNA types, so which should you approach? Each answer leads to its own two objectives.
Federation path
- Go To Andoria Prime. Location: Andoria.
- Bring the Scotty to your Station.
Rewards: 2,500,000 Parsteel, 25 3★ Rare Refined Gas, 5,000 Ship XP.
Romulan path
- Go to Vendor to seek aid from the Romulanisch Star Empire. Location: Vendor.
- Bring Commander Tova back to your Station.
Rewards: 2,500,000 Parsteel, 25 3★ Rare Refined Erze, 5,000 Ship XP.
Klingon path
- Go to Rura Penthe to seek aid from the Klingon Empire. Location: Beta Penthe.
- Bring Captain K’Thok back to your Station.
Rewards: 2,500,000 Parsteel, 25 3★ Rare Refined Kristall, 5,000 Ship XP.
All three paths have the same shape: fly to the faction’s system, collect their contact and bring them home. No enemy strength is listed anywhere in the mission.
Wo und welcher Warp
There is no pickup system, and the mission can be accepted from warp 1. Completing it needs warp 33. Dhi’Ban is the only shared stop, and the second system depends on your choice. The game lists a recommended level of 1, so warp range is the only real bar.

Tips
Choose by the refined resource you are short of. Parsteel and Ship XP are identical on every path, so gas, ore or crystal is the only real difference.
Any ship with warp 33 range will do. There are no fights, so there is no reason to tie up your main combat ship.
