Your Reputation Precedes You is a faction milestone mission in Star Trek Fleet Command. It has one objective, earn a Commendation Rank III from any faction, and no travel, so it runs at warp 1 from start to finish with a recommended level of 1. The reward is 5,000,000 Parsteel and 800 Ultra Recruit Tokens. Because any faction counts, it rewards progress you are likely making already, and the payout is large for a single objective.

The mission has a single objective and no choice split:
- Earn a Commendation Rank III from any Faction.
The story line spells it out: earn a Commendation Rank III from any Faction Store. No specific faction is required, so whichever faction you have been working with is the one to push. There is no system to visit and no fight tied to the mission itself.

This mission has no pickup system and no location. Warp 1 is listed both to start and to complete, so your ships’ range has nothing to do with it. The recommended level is 1. The only requirement is the Commendation Rank III.

Rank III and Rank IV compared
A closely matching mission, Bound Together, asks for the next commendation rank up and pays the same rewards:

Both are single-objective, warp 1 Missionen with a recommended level of 1, and both leave the faction up to you. The only difference is the rank you need. Neither one pays faction points of its own, only Parsteel and recruit tokens.
Tips
Focus on one faction. The objective accepts any faction, so there is no benefit to spreading your effort. Pick the faction you are furthest along with and push it to Rank III.

Keep going after Rank III. Bound Together pays the same 5,000,000 Parsteel and 800 Ultra Recruit Tokens for Rank IV, so the faction you choose here is worth continuing with.
