Theft Through Deception is a level 67 Federation mission in Star Trek Fleet Command, picked up in Shrev’s Eye. Romulan agents posing as Vulcan ambassadors have stolen the USS Crozier from drydock, and Starfleet asks you to get it back. It needs warp 1400 to start and to complete, includes three fights, and pays 23,000 Σ-Parsteel, 1,500 Trait XP and Föderation reputation. It is a three-fight chase with a Trait XP payout.
Theft Through Deception objectives
There are six objectives and no choice split:
- Pursue the thieves. Location: Persephone.
- Besiegen Sie die Romulanisch agent. Location: Persephone.
- Continue the pursuit. Location: Endron Delta.
- Defeat another Romulan agent. Location: Endron Delta.
- Disable the USS Crozier. Location: Endron Delta.
- Tow the Crozier back to Shrev’s Eye. Location: Shrev’s Eye.
The Crozier is an advanced battleship full of Starfleet hardware and intel, and a Romulan escort was seen heading for Persephone. You break into the escort there, beating a Romulan agent at about 9.2 billion strength, but the rest of the fleet jumps to warp during the fight.
Ion trails lead to Endron Delta. The hijackers refuse to stand down and threaten to take your ship too, so you fight a second agent at about 9.16 billion. The Romulan in Befehl then turns the Crozier itself on you, and you have to disable it; the Crozier is listed at about 9.15 billion. The hijackers abandon ship, and you tow the Crozier back to the Starfleet outpost in Shrev’s Eye.

Pick the mission up in Shrev’s Eye, chase the Crozier through Persephone and Endron Delta, and return to Shrev’s Eye. Both the start and the finish need warp 1400. The recommended level is 67.

Tips
All three enemies are close in strength, between about 9.15 and 9.2 billion, so the first fight in Persephone tells you whether your ship can finish the job. The Crozier fight comes straight after the second agent, with no travel step between them, so enter Endron Delta at full health.
Theft Through Deception and House Call are the two Shrev’s Eye missions that pay Trait XP. If you only want Σ-resources, Specters of Days Gone pays a mix of Σ-Tritanium and Σ-Parsteel instead; the Σ resources guide explains both.
