The Ladder is a two-part mission chain in which House Sov asks you to help pick its new recruits. Captain Gorthak introduces you to Rovokha, who runs recruitment, and what starts as observing ship-to-ship trials ends with the recruits lining up to fight you instead. Both parts are recommended for level 70 and reach warp 1,550, with the chain picked up in Otralitea. Rewards include 7,800 Klingon Credits, 136,000 Latinum, 29,200,000,000 Klingon Points and 2 Gravimetric Daten. With three fights around 3.3 to 3.4 trillion strength and no donations, it is a quick chain for Klingon-aligned players.

The Ladder Part 1
How are House Sov recruits chosen? Rovokha tests recruits through ship battles at the proving grounds. When a rejected recruit named Hezok refuses to accept her decision, you are the one who stops him.
- Meet with Captain Gorthak in Otralitea.
- Proceed to the proving grounds in Uyama.
- Stop the recruit in Uyama (enemy strength ~3,311,756,294,633).
- Kehren Sie zu Ihrer Station zurück.
Warp to complete: 1,550.

Recruit the best for House Sov. Impressed by how you handled Hezok, Rovokha decides the recruits should prove themselves against you, and you fight two rounds back to back before reporting to Otralitea.
- Return to the proving grounds in Uyama.
- Battle the recruit in Uyama (enemy strength ~3,423,395,691,968).
- Round 2 in Uyama (enemy strength ~3,392,818,769,605).
- Return to House Sov in Otralitea.
Warp to complete: 1,550.
Rewards: 26,000 Σ-Parsteel, 50,000 7★ Broken Explorer Parts, 3,900 Klingon Credits, 14,600,000,000 Klingon Points, 1 Gravimetric Data, and reputation losses of 17,100,000,000 Romulan Points and 8,000,000,000 Federation Points.
Tips for completing The Ladder
All the fighting happens in Uyama. Part 2 is the harder half, since the two recruit battles come one straight after the other at about 3.4 trillion strength each. Arrive at full health, and repair between rounds if the first fight costs you much hull.
There are no choices or donations, so the chain is mostly a matter of travel between Otralitea and Uyama and three wins. A ship that clears the Part 1 recruit can handle Part 2.
The rewards add Klingon Points and remove Romulan and Föderation points, with 34,200,000,000 Romulan Points lost across both parts. Check Fraktionsruf if you are also running Romulan chains in the region. Rovokha and House Sov return in All Eyes on Me, and Otralitea and Uyama also feature in the level 70 Margins chain, which includes a part where the Commander comes up against House Sov.

For Klingon-aligned players, yes. Two short parts pay 7,800 Klingon Credits, 29,200,000,000 Klingon Points, 136,000 Latinum and 2 Gravimetric Data, plus some Σ-Parsteel, Σ-Tritanium and 7★ Broken Explorer Parts.
