Margins is a five-part Section 31 mission chain in Star Trek Fleet Command, and every part is recommended for level 70. Each part starts at warp 1 but needs warp 1,550 to finish, with objectives spread across Wigg, Sendisez, the Crossroads, Oraalen, Ro’Antcha, Otralitea, Uyama and Pobal-K. You follow Agent Bristow, pick up Cillian’s trail, run into the Forsaken and finish against House Sov. The chain pays 287,000 Latinum, 270,000 Officer XP, 400 Ultra Recruit Tokens and 400 Data Cores in total. It is a long-range, fight-heavy chain that rewards a ship built for warp 1,550.

Tips for completing Margins
Warp is the first gate. All five parts need warp 1,550 to complete, so a ship that falls short cannot finish even Part 1, whatever its strength. Once you can make the trip, the whole chain stays inside that range.
Expect six scripted fights on the combat-heavy route, all listed between roughly 3.31 and 3.42 trillion strength. The toughest ones, at about 3.42 trillion, are the Wigg ambush in Part 1, the strange ship in Part 3 and the Klingons in Part 5. Parts 3 and 5 also ask for 10 hostile kills each, at level 70 or higher and then level 71 or higher in Pobal-K, so the last part asks for hostiles a level above the chain’s recommended level. The hostile guide helps you find targets in that range.
The choices change the route, not the payout. In Part 2, leaving Cillian in Fera’s custody skips the fight against Fera’s ship but costs 20K Σ-Parsteel. In Part 4, staying out of it does not avoid combat: the Romulan attacks you anyway at the same strength, and both paths end with a 5K Σ-Tritanium donation. Keep that Σ-Tritanium in reserve before you start Part 4. The Σ resources page covers the currencies involved.
Margins opens after a level 70 mission called Restart, and finishing Part 5 unlocks Hammer and Tongs, a level 71 mission that asks you to upgrade Operations to level 71 for 33,000 Σ-Parsteel and 199,000 Latinum.
Are the Margins rewards worth it?
For a level 70 player who can already reach warp 1,550, yes. Parts 1 and 5 carry most of the value between them: 287,000 Latinum, 270,000 Officer XP, 150 Premium and 400 Ultra Recruit Tokens, 400 Data Cores and three 1 Day Peace Shields. The middle parts pay smaller amounts of Σ-Parsteel, Σ-Tritanium and Σ-Dilithium, minus up to 25K in donations. The cost is several trillion-strength fights and two hostile grinds. More missions by level are on the STFC mission guide.
