Straightforward is a level 70 Federation mission in Star Trek Fleet Command where Cillian, a Federation spy, drops the sneaking and tries plain honesty to open talks with the Forsaken. You pick it up in Crossroads and need warp 1,550 to start and to complete. There is one defensive fight against a Forsaken ship, then a meeting with the Forsaken Council in Alvolea. The reward is 48,000 7★ Broken Battleship Parts, 2,700 Σ-Dilithium, 3,900 Federation Credits and 1 Gravimetric Daten.
Straightforward objectives
Cillian’s research says the Forsaken value authenticity, so he wants to return to the trade station where you first found him and state his intentions openly. There is no choice split. The steps are:
- Set a course for the trade station in Crossroads.
- Defend yourself in Crossroads (enemy strength ~3,311,756,294,633).
- Proceed to Alvolea.
- Meet with the Council in Alvolea.
- Kehren Sie zu Ihrem Bahnhof zurück.
Cillian hoped to find Fera at the station. Instead Captain Matumo is waiting with a message from her, delivered by weapons fire. Cillian asks you to hold back and only defend, so you do not give the Forsaken another reason to distrust him. Once Matumo stops firing, Cillian talks him into asking the Council for a meeting.
Alvolea is the first colony the Forsaken set up in the Margins. Gessa, Orasek and a lone Pakled named Nardo hear Cillian propose a Federation liaison, pitched as a help to their rejected membership application. Gessa agrees only to think about it. On the way home Maia points out that Cillian came to spy on the Forsaken and now wants to help them, and he insists it is purely a tactic.

You pick the mission up in Crossroads, where the first fight also happens. It needs warp 1,550 to start and warp 1,550 to complete. The Council meeting is in Alvolea, and the last step sends you back to your station. The recommended level is 70.

All three pay 3,900 Federation Credits. Swinging for the Fences Part 1 starts in Alvolea, the same system where the Council sits, and its 500 1 Day Speed Ups outweigh most level 70 payouts. Cillian’s story with the Forsaken carries on in Work Pressure at level 72.
Tips
The only fight is Captain Matumo in Crossroads at about 3.3 trillion strength, and it comes right after the pickup. Bring a ship that can take that hit, since the objective is to survive the exchange.
Straightforward is light on Ressourcen. The main reason to run it is Federation standing and the Battleship parts.
