Codes is an early single mission in Star Trek Fleet Command, recommended for level 6. It asks you to bring back one Encryption Key from a mission in Risa, Tellun, Yridia or Maluria, then hand it to Toryn. The mission itself starts and finishes at warp 1, though the key Missionen take you further out. It pays 1,500 Parsteel and 20 Recruit Tokens and unlocks the next mission. This page is about the Codes mission, not redeem codes for the game.

Codes objectives

Es gibt drei Ziele und keine Verzweigung:

  • Collect 1 Encryption Key from a Risa, Tellun, Yridia or Maluria mission.
  • Treffen Sie sich mit Toryn.
  • Hand over the Encryption Key to Toryn.

The first step is the only real work. Codes does not hand you the key; it points you at four other missions that each reward one. You only need one key, so pick whichever of the four is easiest for you to reach and finish. Once you have it, the last two steps are a short conversation with Toryn and the handover.

Where to get the Encryption Key

Each of the four systems named in the mission has a mission that pays out an Encryption Key along with its other rewards. These are the four, with their current data:

Mission Picked up in Recommended level Warp zum Abschließen Other rewards
The Tritanium Mine Risa 7 5 2.500 Parsteel
Depriving the Enemy Tellun 8 5 2,400 Parsteel, 2 Domitia shards
Plausible Abdeckung Yridia 8 5 2,400 Parsteel, 2 Helvia shards
Malurisches Tritanium Maluria 8 5 2,400 Parsteel, 2 K'Bisch shards

All four need warp 5, so the choice comes down to level and what else you want from the trip. The Tritanium Mine has the lowest recommended level of the group at 7 and pays the most Parsteel. The other three sit at level 8 and each adds two officer shards, so if you are building toward Domitia, Helvia or K’Bisch, run the matching mission instead.

Wo und welcher Warp

Codes needs warp 1 to start and warp 1 to complete, and the mission data lists no system for any of its own objectives. The travel comes from the key missions above, which need warp 5. The recommended level for Codes is 6, one or two levels below the key missions it sends you to.

The mission before Codes in this storyline is The Isle of Noises, a level 6 step that opens talks with the landmark systems and asks you to donate 400 Parsteel. Codes is where those talks turn into actual work in those systems.

Codes rewards

Belohnung Amount
Parsteel 1,500
Token rekrutieren 20

Completing Codes also unlocks the next mission, Bevorratung von Tritanium.

Tips

Pick the key mission before you set off. All four need the same warp 5, so the only differences are the recommended level and the extra rewards. A level 7 captain who only wants Parsteel should take The Tritanium Mine; anyone chasing a specific officer should take the level 8 mission that pays that officer’s shards.

Count the Parsteel across the whole loop. Codes pays 1,500 on its own, and the key mission adds another 2,400 or 2,500, so the two together come to close to 4,000 Parsteel for what is mostly travel and one task in a nearby system.

Codes only asks for one key, but the other three missions are worth a look on their own merits. Each pays its own Parsteel, and the three level 8 ones each add two officer shards.
