The Cardassian Faction

The Cardassian Union arrives in the game through the Galor-class warship and the stations that command it. Everything Cardassian sits high in the level range, so this is late-game content rather than something you meet on the way up.

Across the game data the Cardassian field 146 hostile records in 7 named target types, running from level 27 to level 81 across 46 systems.

Ship power is the range across every level that target appears at, so the low figure is the entry version and the high figure is the endgame one.

The Galor-class hull appears three times across the game under different owners: the Cardassian original, the Controlled version the Node faction fields, and the Assimilated version the Borg field. Same silhouette, different faction, different drops.

What Cardassian targets drop

Across the whole faction the recurring drops are Outpost Retaliation Medal, Retaliation Plunder, Solo Outpost Credits, Elite Solo Outpost Credits, Uncommon Solo Outpost Components and Common Solo Outpost Components. Those are what you are actually farming for, and they are the reason to pick one target over another at the same level.

Where this sits

The factions page indexes every faction in the game, which have a store and reputation you can build, and which you only ever meet as targets.

For the three factions whose standing actually moves, see Federation, Klingon and Romulan. The faction reputation page covers the ladder and the locks.
