Ashes In Our Wake is a level 62 Federation mission in Star Trek Fleet Command in which saboteurs attack a new Azinjen outpost and you hunt them down. You pick it up in Sigrun and need warp 1,000 to start and to finish. Expect two named fights and 8 hostile kills. The reward is 310 6★ Common Refined Gas, 1,100 Trait XP and 3,600 Federation Credits, plus a Federation Points gain.
Ashes In Our Wake objectives
There are five objectives in a fixed order, with no choice split:
- Defeat the unknown attacker. Location: Sigrun (enemy strength ~2,643,533,500).
- Track the saboteur to Krokenia. Location: Krokenia.
- Defeat 8 hostiles of Level 61 or higher.
- Defeat the Takret Interrogator. Location: Krokenia (enemy strength ~2,618,077,029).
- Return to the habitat facility. Location: Sigrun.
The mission opens with a garbled distress call. Local weather had hidden the phaser fire, and by the time your crew notices, the Azinjen atmospheric testing installation is badly damaged and the attacker is climbing out of low orbit. You engage it, but it escapes to warp.
The Square Leader’s fleet starts a rescue while you follow the trail to Krokenia. The system is crowded with ships in unknown markings, and several turn to fight, so you have to clear 8 of them. The attackers turn out to be the Takret Militia, who claim the sector for their own exploration effort and refuse to surrender. After you beat the Takret Interrogator, the crew sets off a self-destruct and scatters in escape pods, which your crew passes to Starfleet Security. Back in Sigrun the Azinjen begin salvaging the damaged habitat.
Where and what warp
The pickup is Sigrun, and warp 1,000 covers the start and the finish. The first fight is in Sigrun itself; after that the route goes to Krokenia for the hostile grind and the Interrogator, then back to Sigrun. The recommended level is 62.

Tips
Start in a combat ship at full health. The first objective is a fight at about 2.64 billion strength with no travel before it, so you cannot warm up on anything smaller.
Repair after the 8 hostiles. The objective accepts any hostiles of level 61 or higher, and the Takret Interrogator at about 2.62 billion comes straight after the grind in Krokenia.
