Zero Tolerance is a Federation story mission in Star Trek Fleet Command, picked up in Sol at warp 40 and completed at warp 53. Starfleet suspects an Independent captain, Crowley, of spying on Earth for the Romulan Tal Shiar. You track him to Denobula Triaxa and then decide whether to bring him in or report that he escaped. Both paths pay 100,000 Federation Points and 600 Federation Credits and include a fight above 1.38 million strength, so the listed recommended level of 1 undersells it.
Zero Tolerance objectives
The mission opens with one shared step and then a dilemma:
- Find Captain Crowley. Location: Denobula Triaxa.
- Dilemma: disable Crowley’s ship or inform the Admiral he escaped.
The game asks how you deal with Captain Crowley, and each answer leads to its own fight and its own final report in Sol.
Path 1: disable Crowley’s ship
- Disable Crowley’s ship. Location: Denobula Triaxa. Enemy strength is roughly 1,385,777.
- Take Crowley to the Admiral. Location: Sol.
Rewards for Path 1: 100,000 Federation Points, 600 Federation Credits, 3 3★ Rare Refined Gas, -151,200 Klingon Points, -33,600 Romulan Points, 1 Damaged Datapad.
Path 2: let him go and report the escape
- Destroy the Federation drone. Location: Denobula Triaxa. Enemy strength is roughly 1,426,536.
- Inform the Admiral that Crowley escaped. Location: Sol.
Rewards for Path 2: 100,000 Federation Points, 600 Federation Credits, 21 3★ Uncommon Refined Gas, -151,200 Klingon Points, -33,600 Romulan Points, 1 Damaged Datapad.
Where and what warp
You accept Zero Tolerance in Sol with warp 40. Completing it takes warp 53, and the objectives visit only Denobula Triaxa and Sol. Both paths end in Sol, so the route is the same whichever choice you make: Sol, Denobula Triaxa, Sol.
Zero Tolerance rewards
| Reward | Path 1 | Path 2 |
|---|---|---|
| Federation Points | 100,000 | 100,000 |
| Federation Credits | 600 | 600 |
| 3★ Rare Refined Gas | 3 | 0 |
| 3★ Uncommon Refined Gas | 0 | 21 |
| Klingon Points | -151,200 | -151,200 |
| Romulan Points | -33,600 | -33,600 |
| Damaged Datapad | 1 | 1 |
Zero Tolerance has no unlock line in the data, so it stands on its own rather than opening a next part.
Which path to choose
The faction changes are identical, so the choice is between the fight and the gas. Path 1’s fight is slightly easier, about 1,385,777 against 1,426,536, and pays 3 3★ Rare Refined Gas. Path 2’s fight is about 3% harder and pays 21 3★ Uncommon Refined Gas. Pick by which grade of refined gas you need.
Zero Tolerance and Assault on Wolf 359 compared
Zero Tolerance is the Federation counterpart in shape to the Romulan mission Assault on Wolf 359. Both pay 100,000 points and 600 credits to the faction you are working for, include a Damaged Datapad, and split at a dilemma.
| Mission | Pickup | Warp to complete | Faction gain | Faction losses |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Zero Tolerance | Sol | 53 | 100,000 Federation Points | -151,200 Klingon, -33,600 Romulan |
| Assault on Wolf 359 | Romulus | 40 | 100,000 Romulan Points | -100,800 Federation, -67,200 Klingon |
Tips
Check the Klingon penalty before you start. Both paths remove 151,200 Klingon Points, the largest number in the reward list, so this mission pulls you away from the Klingons no matter which choice you make.
Bring a ship that can win at around 1.4 million. Whichever path you take, you fight once in Denobula Triaxa, and the two targets are within a few percent of each other.
For how faction points work, see faction reputation. Every other mission sorted by level is on the mission guide.
