Wrong for the Right Reasons is a Romulan storyline mission in Star Trek Fleet Command where you stop the son, Avris, from escaping. The recommended level is 1, it can be picked up at warp 1, and it needs warp 120 to complete. You track him down in Elvros and then decide whether to arrest him or let him die. Arresting him pays 900 Latinum and Premium Recruit Tokens; letting him die pays 8 Hour Speed Ups and costs you Klingon standing as well. Both pay the same Romulan Credits and Points.

The shared part of the mission has two objectives:
- Track down the son. Location: Elvros.
- Arrest Avris or let him die?
The second step is a choice split. Both paths finish with the same objective, but the rewards differ.

There is no fight in either path. The mission is a trip to Elvros, a decision, and a trip home.

Wrong for the Right Reasons needs warp 1 to start and warp 120 to complete. Elvros is the only system named, and both paths end at your station. The recommended level is 1.

Where it sits in the storyline
This mission follows The Investigation, which is picked up in Veisa at warp 120. In that mission you go to Veisa with the Investigator, question the son and the wife, and name the killer. It pays 600 Ultra Recruit Tokens, 700 Romulan Credits and 645,000 Romulan Points, with the same 727,560 Federation Points loss. Wrong for the Right Reasons is the chase that follows. The storyline continues with the Separatists missions.
Tips
Arresting Avris is the better deal for most players. It pays the same Romulan Credits and Points as letting him die, avoids the extra 485,040 Klingon Points loss, and adds 900 Latinum and 110 Premium Recruit Tokens.
Let him die only if you want the speed ups. Thirty 8 Hour Speed Ups is a lot of time saved, and if your Klingon standing does not matter to you, the extra loss may be a price worth paying.
Either way, expect a Federation hit. Both paths take away 727,560 Federation Points, the same loss as The Investigation, so two missions in a row cost you close to 1.5 million Federation Points. If you are keeping the Federation friendly, weigh that before you start.
