V’ger Hurak Honorguard

The best crew for the V’ger Hurak Honorguard in Star Trek Fleet Command is an Explorer crew that ends the fight fast and leaves five officers at home: SNW Pike, SNW Pelia, SNW Sam Kirk, SNW James Kirk and SNW T’Pring. If any of them is aboard, the Hurak gains a massive Apex Barrier. It is a V’ger clone that spawns only as an Interceptor, from level 51 to 80, in systems between warp 205 and warp 6000, and every kill drops 5★, 6★ or 7★ Broken Interceptor Parts depending on its level.

Best crew for the V’ger Hurak Honorguard

Start with the ship. The Hurak Honorguard only appears as an Interceptor, and Explorers beat Interceptors, so bring your strongest Explorer. There is no other hull variant, so you never swap ship class between levels. The only thing that changes as you climb is the raw power you need.

The crew rule that matters most comes from the hostile’s own ability, Replicated Counter-Intel. The V’ger entity has archived intel on five Strange New Worlds officers, and if any of them sits on your ship, the Hurak gains a massive amount of Apex Barrier. That turns a winnable fight into a wall. Leave these five off every ship you send:

Officer What happens if you bring them
SNW Pike Hurak gains a massive Apex Barrier
SNW Pelia Hurak gains a massive Apex Barrier
SNW Sam Kirk Hurak gains a massive Apex Barrier
SNW James Kirk Hurak gains a massive Apex Barrier
SNW T’Pring Hurak gains a massive Apex Barrier

With those five benched, build the rest of the crew on the usual hostile-hunting principle: a captain that raises weapon damage against hostiles, backed by officers that add damage or mitigation. This hostile lives well past the early cadet crews, so lean on your current endgame roster. For the strongest picks at your level, see the Officer Tier List. Crews shift with the meta and with your own roster, so treat any one lineup as a starting point.

Why a fast kill matters

Two always-on abilities make this a harder fight than its hull suggests. Replicated Honorguard Apex raises its own Isolytic Damage, Isolytic Defense and Apex Barrier at the start of combat, and it shreds your ship’s Apex Barrier at the same moment, so Apex protection you brought is stripped before the first volley lands. Replicated Counter-Intel then kicks in once the Hurak drops below 50% hull health: from that point it raises its Isolytic Damage and Apex Barrier at the start of every round. A slow fight gets tougher the longer it runs, so pick the crew that deals the most damage in the fewest rounds, not the one that tanks longest.

Where to find the V’ger Hurak Honorguard

The Hurak Honorguard spawns in high-warp systems that climb in step with its level. The lowest spawns sit at warp 205, while the level 76 and higher versions need warp 5000 or more, so this is endgame territory. Each level appears in one or two systems, so the table below doubles as a route: pick the level you can beat and set course.

Level Warp Systems
51 205 Audon Core, Lyntaro Gap
52 230 Tolm
53 255 Ignay
54 285 Kamre
55 320 Becca
56 355 Wudell
57 400 Megos
58 440 Enoa
59 500 Lecio
60 700 Iya-9, Paetbria
61 900 Mizak, Valay Cetra
62 1000 Faea
63 1100 Warna
64 1200 Lujia
65 1250 Riolao
66 1500 T’Oran
67 1500 Fiavoli
68 1500 Dae Mu
69 1550 Partor
70 1550 Anos Seta, Teal Keres
71 1550 Gujamas, Nazare
72 1600 Levemoth
73 2100 Calthea Lambda
74 3000 Valtir
75 3500 Q’Osa
76 5000 Kebo
77 5000 Advent
78 5000 Jodaj
79 5500 Eidolas
80 6000 Vapir-X

The V’ger Fighter spawns at the same levels in the same systems (plus Indaego at level 51). It is an Explorer, so it needs a Battleship rather than the Explorer you brought for the Hurak. Check the hull before you tap attack.

Rewards and what it drops

Every kill drops Broken Interceptor Parts. You refine them into Refined Interceptor Parts, which upgrade Interceptors of the matching star grade. The grade rises with the level band, so the higher you fight, the better the parts you pull.

Drop What it is
5★ Broken Interceptor Parts Refines into parts for 5★ Interceptors, 135 to 1,925 per kill (levels 51–60)
6★ Broken Interceptor Parts Refines into parts for 6★ Interceptors, 1,585 to 19,745 per kill (levels 61–70)
7★ Broken Interceptor Parts Refines into parts for 7★ Interceptors, 2,375 to 19,530 per kill (levels 71–80)

Each kill also grants ship XP, from 2,500 at level 51 to 118,500 at level 80, so the higher spawns double as a quick way to level a new hull.

V’ger Hurak Honorguard stats

Stats climb steeply with level, so treat these anchor points as a sense of scale rather than exact figures for every spawn.

Level Total strength Hull HP Shield HP Attack Defense Ship XP
51 1,413,397,207 1,452,418,947 1,352,252,123 6,596,737 4,464,935 2,500
66 123,687,249,077 127,102,065,193 118,336,405,524 577,284,433 390,729,285 28,000
80 110,194,034,142,192 113,236,323,200,000 105,426,921,600,000 514,307,665,872 348,104,076,320 118,500

The jump from level 51 to level 80 is enormous. Make sure your ship can absorb the incoming damage and finish the job before you commit to the top spawns.

V’ger Hurak Honorguard firing pattern

The Hurak fires two weapon groups, and both fire every round. Its Kinetic guns hit roughly three times harder per shot than its Energy weapons, and both groups crit 15% of the time for 1.5x damage, so expect heavy, steady punishment on every exchange with no quiet rounds to recover in. The figures below are from the level 51 record and scale up with level.

Weapon type Count Damage per shot Fires Crit
Energy 2 450,751–490,817 Every round 15% (1.5x)
Kinetic 2 1,502,502–1,652,753 Every round 15% (1.5x)

V’ger in Star Trek

V’ger is the entity at the center of Star Trek: The Motion Picture. It began as Voyager 6, a NASA probe launched from Earth and later lost. In the film, the probe was found by a race of living machines that rebuilt it so it could complete its programming: learn all that is learnable and return that knowledge to its creator. Over the centuries it gathered so much that it became conscious, named itself V’ger, and swept toward Earth inside a vast energy cloud, looking for its creator. Star Trek Fleet Command’s V’ger content runs with that idea, spawning replicated fleets like the Hurak Honorguard.

Is the V’ger Hurak Honorguard worth grinding?

Grind it if you are farming Interceptor parts at the top of the game. The 6★ and 7★ Broken Interceptor Parts only drop on the level 61 and higher spawns, and those are the parts endgame Interceptors need, so this is a target for players already deep in the galaxy. The rising ship XP is a useful bonus for leveling new hulls. Match your warp to the system, bring an Explorer with enough firepower to end the fight before Replicated Counter-Intel ramps up, and keep the five SNW officers off your crew. For other targets by faction and level, see the hostile guide.
