Their War, Not Yours is a Romulan storyline mission in Star Trek Fleet Command where you chase down Stiles and recover a stolen Romulan ship. It can be picked up at warp 1 and needs warp 15 to complete, running from V’varia through Fastolf to Azha. There are two fights, a Battleship at roughly 30,071 strength and then Stiles at roughly 16,811. The reward is ten Domitia shards and 150 3★ Survey Parts plus a small Romulan reputation gain, and completing it unlocks Cloak and Dagger.
Their War, Not Yours objectives
The story line is “Chase down Stiles and recover the stolen Romulan ship.” There are five objectives and no choice split:
- Meet with Subcommander T’Nal. Location: V’varia.
- Track the stolen cloaked ship to Fastolf. Location: Fastolf.
- Destroy the Battleship protecting the Centurion ship. Location: Fastolf. Enemy strength is roughly 30,071.
- Chase down Stiles in the cloaked ship. Location: Azha.
- Destroy Stiles. Location: Azha. Enemy strength is roughly 16,811.
The chase has three stops. T’Nal briefs you in V’varia, the trail leads to Fastolf where a Battleship is guarding the stolen Centurion ship, and the final showdown with Stiles happens in Azha. The escort in Fastolf is almost twice as strong as Stiles, so the harder fight comes first.
Where and what warp
You can accept Their War, Not Yours at warp 1, but warp 15 is needed to complete it. V’varia, Fastolf and Azha are the three systems on the route, and the mission ends in Azha with no return-to-station step.
The mission data lists a recommended level of 1. Neither fight is large, but the Battleship at about 30,071 is the one to plan your ship around.

Their War, Not Yours and Creatures of Duty compared
This mission follows Creatures of Duty, where you first try to stop Stiles from handing a working cloaking device to the Klingons. Both pay ten Domitia shards.

Running both back to back gives twenty Domitia shards across two short missions at warp 15 or below.
Tips
Take the Battleship fight seriously. It is the stronger of the two enemies and comes before Stiles, so a ship that gets through Fastolf in good shape will have no trouble in Azha.
The 150 3★ Survey Parts are handy if you are upgrading a survey ship. They sit alongside the Domitia shards as the two rewards with lasting use.
The reputation changes are small: 80 Romulan Points in, 38 Federation Points and 26 Klingon Points out. Unless you are right at a threshold, they will not change much.
