The Masks We Wear is a Discovery storyline mission in Star Trek Fleet Command where you fly into an ambush and fight your way out. It is recommended for level 25, starts at warp 1 and needs warp 20 to complete. Two mercenary ships wait in Netron Omega, and after beating both you follow Burnham to Tilly’s system in Netron Alpha. The reward is 335,000 Parsteel, 50,000 Tritanium and 5 3★ Uncommon Refined Crystal.
The Masks We Wear objectives
There are four objectives in a fixed order and no choice split:
- Fly into the ambush. Location: Netron Omega.
- Defeat the first mercenary ship. Location: Netron Omega. Enemy strength is about 131,625.
- Defeat the second mercenary ship. Location: Netron Omega. Enemy strength is about 129,975.
- Follow Burnham to Tilly’s system. Location: Netron Alpha.
The two fights come back to back in Netron Omega. Once the second mercenary is down, the last step moves you on to Netron Alpha, and the mission ends there.
Where and what warp
The Masks We Wear can be picked up at warp 1 and needs warp 20 to finish. Netron Omega and Netron Alpha are the two systems.
The recommended level is 25. Both mercenary ships are close to 130,000 strength, in line with the rest of this part of the story.

The Masks We Wear is the first mission in this run with two fights back to back, and Guns Blazing repeats the pattern straight after it. From here on, every mission pays more than 300,000 Parsteel.
Tips
Repair between the two mercenary ships if you can. They are in the same system, one after the other, and the first is the slightly stronger of the two.
You end the mission in Netron Alpha, and the first fight of Guns Blazing is in Netron Alpha too, so you are already in position for the next mission.
