The Eyes of Earth is a level 62 Romulan mission in Star Trek Fleet Command. Lord Vrellok is celebrating the Reman landing on Tir Morta Prime when a Federation ship is spotted nearby, and you are sent to track the Starfleet spy for the Reman Initiative. You pick it up in Tir Morta and need warp 1,000 to start and to finish. The one fight is the USS Newgrange, and the pay is 58,000 6★ Raw Crystal, 139,000 Raw Σ-Parsteel and 3,600 Romulan Credits.
The Eyes of Earth objectives
There are five objectives across three systems, and no choice split:
- Investigate the Starfleet transponder signal. Location: Tir Morta.
- Chase down the Federation ship. Location: Gratia-3.
- Track the USS Newgrange to Solas Astra. Location: Solas Astra.
- Defeat the USS Newgrange. Location: Solas Astra (enemy strength about 3,367,690,171).
- Report back to Tir Morta. Location: Tir Morta.
A Reman named Morga slips aboard your ship to help with the hunt, hoping the Initiative can announce itself before Starfleet does. When you catch the Newgrange, its captain claims to be in uncharted space and warns you off. Your side points out that the ship has been tracking Tir Morta from inside registered Romulan space, and the talking ends in a fight. After the Newgrange is destroyed you head back to Vrellok and the visiting Ambassador, who gives the Initiative permission to continue.
Where and what warp
The mission starts in Tir Morta and needs warp 1,000 to start and warp 1,000 to complete. The route runs from Tir Morta to Gratia-3, on to Solas Astra for the fight, then back to Tir Morta to hand in. The game lists a recommended level of 62.

Second-class Citizen pays exactly twice the Crystal of this mission and about twice the Raw Σ-Parsteel, so if you only have time for one Crystal run from Tir Morta, that one pays more.
Tips
Bring a ship that can win a fight near 3.4 billion strength. The USS Newgrange is the only hostile in the mission, and it waits at the far end of the route in Solas Astra, so arrive with full health rather than stopping to repair halfway.
The rest of the mission is travel. Three of the five steps are simple arrivals, which makes the warp 1,000 range the real requirement for most players.
Check your standing before you commit. The mission raises your Romulan standing and lowers both Klingon and Federation standing, with the Federation loss larger than the Romulan gain. The faction reputation guide explains how those points add up.
