Synthesis is a Federation delivery mission in Star Trek Fleet Command. Starfleet needs a transport to carry synthetic tissue to the Trill homeworld, and you are it. The mission is picked up in Denobula Triaxa and needs warp 53 to start and to complete. The game lists a recommended level of 1, but warp 53 and an 18M Parsteel donation are what you actually need. There is no combat, and the reward is 2,240,000 Dilithium and 10 3★ Rare Refined Gas.
Synthesis objectives
There are three objectives and no choice split:
- Deliver the medical tissue to Trill. Location: Trill.
- Donate 18M Parsteel.
- Return to Commander Edi. Location: Denobula Triaxa.
You carry the tissue to Trill, make the Parsteel donation and head back to Commander Edi in Denobula Triaxa to finish. No hostile is listed at any step.
Where and what warp
The pickup system is Denobula Triaxa, and the mission needs warp 53 both to start and to complete. The route is Denobula Triaxa to Trill and back.
With no fight, the practical costs are the warp 53 range and the 18M Parsteel. Any ship that can make the trip will do.

The game data lists no next mission unlocked by Synthesis, so it stands on its own.
In effect, the mission converts 18M Parsteel into 2.24 million Dilithium plus ten 3★ Rare Refined Gas, with a trip in between. That is a good trade if Parsteel is piling up and Dilithium is short.

The others pay faction credits and reputation; Synthesis pays none, but it also costs you no standing with any faction. It is the easiest of the group to finish, as long as you have the Parsteel.
Tips
Bank the Parsteel before you set out. The donation is the second step, and without 18M on hand you will be stuck at Trill.
Use a non-combat ship. There is nothing to fight, so a survey or mining ship with warp 53 frees your battleships for other work.
