Stachys Aurelia is a level 71 mission in Star Trek Fleet Command in which you help the Klingon researcher Lurrkon collect a rare plant that could lead to donor-free blood transfusions for House Sov. You pick it up in Dhaunia and need warp 1,550 to start and to complete. There is one light fight against an Orion ship. The reward is 667,000 7★ Raw Gas, 40,000 7★ Broken Survey Parts, 800 Σ-Klingon Credits and 1 Gravimetric Data, plus a gain in Klingon reputation.
Stachys Aurelia objectives
Lurrkon explains that some members of House Sov have blood types so rare that standard treatments fail them. The woolly fibres of Stachys Aurelia may make a synthetic plasma infusion possible, if he can gather enough of the plant. There is no choice split:
- Find a sample of Stachys Aurelia in Kúshlah.
- Find a more complete sample of the plant in Donrunei.
- Defend against the Orion Mercenary in Donrunei (enemy strength ~18,655,441,716).
- Extract a sample of Stachys Aurelia from the planet in Donrunei.
- Bring your findings back to Jirev in Dhaunia.
The first sample in Kúshlah is pure but small, and Lurrkon guesses a planet with less radiation will yield more. In Donrunei the eastern continent is covered in the plant, but an Orion captain named Taifal says the world belongs to Orion settlers and orders you away. When Lurrkon tries to explain, Taifal claims the plant for the Orion Syndicate, and the fight starts. With the Orion ship damaged you have a short window to harvest, then you take Lurrkon home to his lab.
Where and what warp
The pickup is in Dhaunia, which is also where you hand in. It needs warp 1,550 to start and warp 1,550 to complete. The route runs Kúshlah, then Donrunei for three steps, then back to Dhaunia. The recommended level is 71.

Stachys Aurelia pays the fewest Σ-Klingon Credits of the four, so run it for the reputation and the Survey parts rather than for credits.
Tips
The Orion Mercenary is listed at about 18.7 billion strength, a small fraction of the trillion-plus fights common at this level. Almost any ship that can reach warp 1,550 will handle it, including a survey ship.
Taifal’s crew speak for the Orion Syndicate, the only hostile faction you meet here. Stop in Donrunei with enough hull left for one battle, since the extraction step follows straight after.
Klingon reputation comes at a price. You lose 17.1 billion Romulan Points for 14.6 billion Klingon Points, so check faction reputation if you are building Romulan standing as well.
