Riposte is a Federation-aligned story mission in Star Trek Fleet Command. You join a band of Starfleet and Independent ships on an assault against a Romulan fleet gathering in the Devrom system and destroy three Romulan ships in a row. It is picked up in Sol and needs warp 40 both to start and to finish. The game lists a recommended level of 1, but the enemies run from about 1.37 to 2.1 million strength. The reward includes 100,000 Federation Points and Federation Credits, and finishing it unlocks A War on Two Fronts.
Riposte objectives
There are four objectives, all in Devrom, and no choice split:
- Travel to the edge of the Devrom system and prepare to engage the Romulan ships. Location: Devrom.
- Destroy the Romulan ship. Location: Devrom. Enemy strength is roughly 1,426,536.
- Destroy another Romulan ship. Location: Devrom. Enemy strength is roughly 1,373,877.
- Destroy the lead Romulan ship. Location: Devrom. Enemy strength is roughly 2,104,711.
After the approach, the mission is three straight fights. The first two ships are close in strength, and the lead ship at the end is about 50% stronger than either of them, so it is the fight that decides whether your ship is ready.
Where and what warp
The pickup system is Sol, and the mission needs warp 40 to start and complete. Every objective is in Devrom, so once you arrive there is no more travel until the fights are done.
The recommended level is listed as 1. Warp 40 and a lead ship above 2.1 million strength are the real requirements.

Completing Riposte also unlocks the next mission, A War on Two Fronts.
What the faction points mean
Riposte is a Federation mission, and the points reflect that. You gain 100,000 Federation reputation but lose 151,200 Klingon and 33,600 Romulan reputation. The Klingon loss is larger than the Federation gain, so players working toward Klingon standing should weigh that before running it. The faction reputation guide covers what those standings unlock.

All three pay the same 600 Federation Credits, 100,000 Federation Points and a Damaged Datapad. The later two add a choice that changes the extra reward: recruit tokens on either path of A War on Two Fronts, and either Klingon recruit tokens or 750,000 Dilithium in The Enemy of My Enemy.
Tips
Take your strongest combat ship and repair between fights if needed. The three battles are back to back in Devrom, and the lead ship is the toughest of the three.
Watch your Klingon standing. If you rely on Klingon space, the 151,200 point loss here and in the missions that follow adds up quickly.
