One Last Effort is a level 25 mission in Star Trek Fleet Command where you rally support before facing the Mega Borg Cube. You meet Admiral Castle in Hann, then a Romulan representative in Zova Rhen and a Klingon representative in Khitomer, before heading to S’mtharz to prepare for the Cube. It becomes available at warp 1 and needs warp 18 to complete, and there are no fights. The reward is 20,000 Tritanium and 4,000 Dilithium, which is modest for four trips.

One Last Effort objectives

There are four objectives and no choice split:

  • Meet with Admiral Castle. Location: Hann.
  • Meet with a Romulan representative. Location: Zova Rhen.
  • Meet with a Klingon representative. Location: Khitomer.
  • Prepare to face the Mega Borg Cube! Location: S’mtharz.

Every objective is a meeting or a trip. You gather the Federation, Romulan and Klingon sides in turn, starting with Admiral Castle, and finish at S’mtharz, where the story sets up the confrontation with the Mega Borg Cube.

No hostile is listed at any step, so the mission itself has no combat.

Where and what warp

The mission becomes available at warp 1 and needs warp 18 to complete. You visit four systems in order: Hann, Zova Rhen, Khitomer and S’mtharz. No pickup system is listed.

The recommended level is 25.

One Last Effort rewards

Reward Amount
Tritanium 20,000
Dilithium 4,000

The current data lists no other items and does not list a further mission unlocked by this one.

Route at a glance

Step System Who you meet
1 Hann Admiral Castle
2 Zova Rhen A Romulan representative
3 Khitomer A Klingon representative
4 S’mtharz Preparation for the Mega Borg Cube

The order is fixed, so the route runs Federation, Romulan, Klingon, then the staging point at S’mtharz.

Hann will be familiar if you have played the nearby Federation missions. It is where you defend the Xedecir colony in Hold The Line, and where the Federation path of What Comes Next… sends you to meet a Starfleet Officer.

Tips

Send a fast ship rather than a strong one. With four systems to visit and no combat, travel is the whole mission, and there are no repair stops to plan for.

The last objective only prepares you for the Mega Borg Cube; no fight against it appears in this mission’s objectives. If you are gearing up a combat ship for what comes next, you can keep it at home and send a different ship on the travel.

The rewards are small for the travel involved, so treat One Last Effort as story progress more than a resource run.
