One Man’s Trash is Augments Part 3 in Star Trek Fleet Command, the mission where Khan learns one of his family is scouring ship graveyards and sends you to track him down. It can be accepted at warp 1, needs warp 13 to complete, and has a recommended level of 1. The trail runs through Deneva, Rakkaus, Opla and Lycia, with one fight against the USS Peacekeeper. The reward is 38,000 Parsteel, 160 2★ Battleship Parts and 25 2★ Uncommon Refined Ore.
One Man’s Trash objectives
There are six objectives, in order, with no choice split:
- Travel to Deneva to seek out rumors of an Augment sighting. Location: Deneva.
- Bribe the Denevan Trader for information on the Augment.
- Track down the freighter captain in Rakkaus. Location: Rakkaus.
- Search for Joaquin on Bylal. Location: Opla.
- Defeat the USS Peacekeeper. Location: Opla. Enemy strength is roughly 12,765.
- Search the Lycia system for Joaquin’s hideout. Location: Lycia.
The mission is a chase. Rumors in Deneva and a bribe to the Denevan Trader point you to a freighter captain in Rakkaus. That lead takes you to Bylal in the Opla system to look for Joaquin, where the USS Peacekeeper, at around 12,765 strength, is the one fight. The last step searches Lycia for Joaquin’s hideout.
Where and what warp
No pickup system is listed, and warp 1 is enough to accept the mission. Warp 13 is needed to complete it, across four systems: Deneva, Rakkaus, Opla and Lycia. The recommended level is 1, and the USS Peacekeeper is the only step that needs a combat-ready ship.
One Man’s Trash rewards
| Reward | Amount |
|---|---|
| Parsteel | 38,000 |
| 2★ Battleship Parts | 160 |
| 2★ Uncommon Refined Ore | 25 |
Completing it also unlocks the next part of the Augments storyline.
Tips
Bring a combat ship for the whole run. Most of the mission is travel, but the USS Peacekeeper in Opla has to be beaten before you can search Lycia, and having your fighter already along saves a trip back to swap ships.
Be ready for the bribe. The second objective asks you to bribe the Denevan Trader for information. The bribe amount is not listed in the objectives, so arrive in Deneva with some resources to spare rather than finding yourself short.
Four systems means a fair amount of flying. Follow the order as listed, because each stop gives you the lead for the next one: Deneva, then Rakkaus, then Opla, then Lycia.
The 160 2★ Battleship Parts are the reward that matters most if you are building a battleship. The 25 2★ Uncommon Refined Ore is the smaller line, and it goes toward any upgrade on your list that asks for 2★ refined ore.
